News on why Forces chutes didn't open.
When the body separates
** like it used to
there is no way the cutes can't deploy
the body blows off away from the car/chassis
talk about simple,
no solenoid no extra cables no extra electronics etc.
Option...
maybe much bigger burst panels, over the motor & cockpit
so they don't ruin or blow up as many bodies ?
may help save a driver too (?)
them carbon fiber bodies are well over $50k
with the titanium trees & tin or drivers shields
NHRA is in CYA mode (cover your ***)
about their electronics crap on these cars,
they fail all the time
I don't buy any of the stuff, or all of
the 1st time nonsense
I'm with Robert Hight on this one
when the engine let got
it should've deployed the cutes period,
end of story
cable/solinoid or not, it's just a simple 'morse cable' on a lever
cable that goes thru a loop holding the chutes in the pack,
can't be much simpler
**
IMHFO as a guy who drove FCs not any fuel FCs, but FCs none the less
cause & affect was, the body stayed on/with the car & the car buckled,
driver being able to self deploy & all the electronics & fail safes failed,
end of story
** body comes off they can see better
& benefit is, it
auto-deploys 'the chutes too'
(
mine shut the fuel off (mech fuel pump off for injection) when the lever was deployed too)
by proxy body flying off pulled off, pulls them out, in can't help but pull them out,
end of story
In the wreck/explosion prior, that Camaro body buckled up
John is arm restraints & harness
& he/John couldn't reach &/or manually activate the simple lever
(
they had since 1966 in the 1st Fuel Floppers, with lif up bodies, 60 years it worked just fine)
&/or the NHRA safety electronics also failed, in milliseconds
All the rest of That's BS (NHRA covering their asses)
** the body being tethered so it can't come off, stays with the chassis
that is a real problem
body comes off, it gets the fire away from the cockpit also,
end of story, end of problem
safety wise for driver too
