That absolutely makes sense, so technically it could have been running like this for quite awhile. The casting number was 1968 or 1969. No one would have known if it came warranty from the dealer or thought to check until the first time someone pulled the oil pan. I said it makes sense because of this. Shady *** dealers!If it's standard bore I'd strongly suspect it kicked a rod under warranty & the dealership just patched it & sent it down the road... Mopars had a 5/50 powertrain warranty & the dealers did what they needed to do to make a profit.... BTDT.... Not how I would want to fix things but when the warranty auditor is calling the shots you fix it how they say or find another place of employment....
