$500- 68 charger

From what I see here it looks like I may have to put this on my list of mods to my Coronet. It's looking really good, keep it up. :)

Nice work, your making me wish I would have done mine that way (shouldn't have as much trouble fighting distortion).

This is coming along great looking at the photos, Great work and you'll not have to worry to much about tire size.

I just need to cut out the braces underneath, weld in the lips they will leave, a little grinding and touching up and this wheel house will be finished. Now on to installing the 1/4 skin.

Now that's a wheel well.... looks great

Thanks, I guess I took it to the extreme, I over engineer a lot. It's a bad habit. But funny thing is when I got thru sand blasting it and the other inerds that will be covered up by the 1/4 skin, I painted them with $.88 wallmart gloss spray can paint. I'll put some of that factory seam sealer stuff on later.

Nice progress Kid. Looks great with the new quarter in place.

Test fitting the new AMD bumper. $355 total with bumperettes from Classic Ind. I had a 20% off coupon. The lower corner valance end piece is fitting bad, just like Hunt's. I will have to weld in a filler piece like he did.

How are the Charger AMD bumpers? I have had many people (even vendors) say they aren't the best. While talking to Stephens Performance last month, they told me that AMD was aware of the problems and have new ones that will be available this fall. As I need new ones or have to get mine rechromed, I was going to wait to see what the new ones are like - unless they are out already.

It looks perfect to me as far as quality, but my car was missing it's rear bumper, so I can't compare it to much about the fit. It seems to fit good.

Good deal. I was told the old stock had to be sold before the new stuff would be released, which must have happened. It was only a Charger thing with all of their other Mopar bumpers being great. It was a issue with very wavy stampings. The bumperettes were good though, with a lot of people buying those from AMD and then having their bumpers rechromed.
