Putting on quarters is the one thing I want to put off as long as possible. It seems like it would be so easy to screw something up. You want to hang mine daytona? lol
What do you mean 1/4 end cap line up? I have to put full quarters on mine and want to be sure I understand, thankslooks very good, make sure the 1/4 end cap lines up,i did not,so now i have to drill out my welds in the rear.

Ok, your talking about the trim piece on the rear of the car, above the tail lights.I think he is referring to the hockey stick shaped end caps at the rear of the quarters Don. We had to do some tweaking on my quarters to get a nice line there also. Hopefully you wont have that problem since you are using full quarters, but I would still bolt them on and check the fitment.
All done with the skin, other than a lot of grinding. Those darn lower corner pieces are tuff to get even close to right.
This seams like a big step to me., Kind of a relief to be done with most all panel welding work, other than the rear window. I will have to research the window repair and figure out what parts I can find for it. It will be a couple of weeks before I can get the rotis., then major blasting, clean up and prep for epoxy primer. The rest of the body- doors, frnt fenders, hood and trunk lid are in good shape so they should go easy, but will do those nearer to finishing, after refurbishing and reassembling most everything else.
Advisory> Those are made of cast aluminum I believe--- careful refurbing them.Ok, your talking about the trim piece on the rear of the car, above the tail lights.
Yes sir, I just did mine. I filed a little and then used All Metal to build the corners up, not something you want to do to much tweaking on. Cast aluminum-pot metal? Whatever it is isn't very workable.Advisory> Those are made of cast aluminum I believe--- careful refurbing them.
Strange but I would like to do it again, because I know the next set will be 100% perfect. Mine is only 99%, lol. I learned a lot on mine, and could have done a little better job. But under the skins, in the rear of the rockers, up thru the roof sail plane/rear columns and every where else I could get to, was blasted, rust treated and/or painted in every microscopic place I could get the in-frame zinc paint and/or $.96 wallmart paint, which should make it last at least another 50 years. And every spot weld was either clamped or screwed tight on both sides before welding. I will say this also tho, I owe a lot of thanks to many guys on here that helped me with everything I've done so far. I'm thinkin and hopeing most of the rest of the work will be easier and not as easy to really mess up.Putting on quarters is the one thing I want to put off as long as possible. I always think about the next years our cars will see, like you said should be good for 5o years, any way we look at it, the next few decades unless some nut gets our cars, shouldn't be in the same place with rust as they were when we got them after there first decades on the road!
I am assuming these do not fit chargers>

I believe that is the same piece that other suppliers state- except charger. And that curve is no where on my window area.
