64 Polara - the fun begins

Well stupid me ... I believe the caliper is supposed to be on the rear side not the front.

Help an old guy with sporadic memory please. I got my brand new dash pad today and it did not come with replacement clips to install. Can someone send me a picture of what they look like please?

I'm putting all the plugs into my firewall but since this was a factory AC car there's a large triangular shaped hole where the AC lines came through. Does anyone know if anyone makes a "plug" to cover/fill this opening? Looks like I will need to manufacture a solution.

The engine and transmission are in !!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do the 64 motor mounts have to be such a pain in the ***?

You could cut this area out of the firewall of a parts car, a little oversize, and use body epoxy to attach to your firewall.

I’m making good progress on the Polara but with the AZ heat I’m getting about 2 - 3 hours a day until I can’t take the heat in the garage any longer.

I read some post(s) about using the Pertronix module in a points distributor and decided to follow that path. I am suffering with confusion about the correct plug wires to use. Which ones would be best to use given the Pertronix ignition system.

Also, I have the cast iron HP manifolds but I’m uncertain as to the plug end on the wires. Should I use the straight plug boot, 90 degree or 45 degree boots or a mixture of all 3?

Any advise or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I'm using Firecore wires with a HEI cap. Not cheap but dang are they good. I got the custom length set. Called and talked to the owner about how long and what ends I wanted. I used a mix of straight, 90, and 45 degree ends. I'm running headers, though.

Pretty much and post 72 wire set will work. Make sure you have the right ohm coil for the petronix. Pet I the stock coil is fine.

More assistance please. I have a Weiand 8008 intake with a Holley 650 DP. The coil placement is interfering with the front fuel line. Hoping someone with a similar setup could send me a few pictures of what you did.

Thanks

Do you have a picture? If all else fails, you can move the coil to the inner fender.

Or make a plate that moves it over
