67 Coronet build thread

Well haven't been around to much lately (my mind has been elsewhere)...progress has been slow but I only have the doors left to block. Then shoot a sealer and pick a color...
Put this out on FB to see what most thought and it looks like majority of people selected the gold....I was kind of suprised,, thought most would go with the red...
Pics are for reference only...beautiful cars!

I like the tan and black. Same as the 1986 Dodge Ram 4x4 Prospector.

Had a gorgeous day today...decided to go ahead and shoot sealer on...the black showed me how limited my skills are experience wise...but I'm pretty happy with it. For what it is I think it will be an above average 67 Coronet in Houston anyways, lol!

Well pulled the trigger and bought my paint last week decided to do all the jambs, trunk and engine bay... I think I really like the color, I'm going to try and bolt on the doors and fenders over the next couple of days.
The fire wall was the first placed I did the body work..wish I would have gone back and cleaned it up a little more. I Figure I'm going to have things mounted there so the blend won't show anyway...

What color is that?

I forget the exact name, I think it is a Fiat color of I remeber right.
Right, I mean is it a gold color, or a yellow? Or is that not a full coat there? I ask because I am painting my 67 this summer. I am having a hard time choosing a color.

It's a gold. I'll call the paint company this morning and see what color they actually call it.

This color from Paint for Cars is what I'm looking at...

I like the color, Cant wait to see it finished.

Well the weather here was perfect after work so I decides enough was enough and it was getting color tonight! I was second guessing my choice of color after shooting the engine bay but am liking it the more I look at it!
I could not be happier with the body work I fought for so long. I'm really happy with it!

Looks good, what brand of paint are you using, almost all new base/clear have a small window to put clear on and cut and buff

Shopline JBP1 /JC306 , PPG . Tech sheet IIRC said scuff if longer than 24hrs. I did that.
