Great, just need one! That should make it much better in the hazard department! I'm still looking for a very nice gear selector lever. The one I bought ended up just the same as what I had so sent it back.

Just to confirm, you need one that is mounted to the cluster frame? I have all four but I will need to melt the studs on the back to get it off...

Yep that's it! Just need one, I'll pm you my address

Got my dash & column pieces painted over the weekend. They turned out pretty good Used about 30 psi air pressure and it took all but about 2-3 ounces to put on 3 coats.

Home in the garage safe. Put some plastic on it to keep dust off.

So Sunday was basically a bust. I worked on painting the gauges Sat. night & Sunday. First I got fisheyes from the Mothers back in black that I had tried but didn't like. So I stripped them and primed & painted them. Still got fish eyes! *@#%! The one guage I did get to turn out didn't match the new tach I bought so going to use a flatter paint.

B the way the temp & fuel gauge use the same mechanism. Also looks like the gauge itself is adjustable!

I am putting a volt meter in place of the ampmeter so already had the gauge removed from the face.

Is the adjuster pin missing from the gauge in the top picture ?

There's no adjuster pin. The teeth you see on the arm are accessible through a hole in the back of the gauge housing and can be manipulated with a screwdriver or star drive.

So I got the gauge faces blasted. Warning!!!!! Be careful when blasting, these are Aluminum I think and tend to curl if you get to aggressive with the blasting. Which I did. If you flip them over and blast the back side equally it will go back to flat.

Now to get some flat black and try it again. Anyone have a good source for ordering rivets. I need to get several special ones for rockers for swithches and these gauge faces.

Mike there's a hole for each side, one top one bottom

I'll be testing all the gauges if possible before they go back in.

I missed were you got the paint for the dash. Is it from Herb's or some other place?
We are getting ready to do the dash in the '70 B5 Charger at work. Was wondering how to get the texture in the dash.

Got it from, David Patik [email protected] He gives great instruction on what to do and the products to use. He recommends Rustoleum prime & Texture paint, then he will sell you the dye/paint. It's kinda pricey 175$ a quart I think. It was Baltic blue. Let me know if this is enough info or if you need more.

Thanks for the info. Is that Baltic Blue paint code B9? We found a tag inside the car.
Was thinking or calling PCG and just getting the correct paint rather than mixing it here.

I would have to look back and see. It was originally a lacquer if I understand right. But David uses a Enamel type paint dye.

I think my interior color was B7, but That may be the color on the door not the dash. I just sent this to David and he figured it out for me.
If you pm me your email I can send you the instruction he sent me.
