We are doing on a '70 Charger restoration at work. It's just a regular 383, auto. Have it stripped down on the rotisserie waiting to get media blasted. After it gets back from blasting we'll be making a long list of parts to order.
Have a question on the inner rockers. Is the piece of innner rocker available from AMD? Can't find it on the site.

I wouldn't care if they did make those. I'd rather fabricate my own for a fraction of the cost.

Give Jeff @ 521 Restoration a call. I got lucky and mine were ok, but I remember Jeff telling me he had them if I needed them. They come in 2 pieces just like the originals. He had to use them in one of his own cars. I don't see them listed on his website though.

Thanks for the replies. Wouldn't take much to bend them up be figured if I'm ordering a semi load from AMD might as well throw them in the truck.
We are set up as a Jobber threw AMD, wanted to be a distributor but to maintain $7500/year in sales was more than I wanted to take on.

Car left for the blaster today. Should be back early next week.

That grille looks nice!

Getting the dash tore down and the dash pad has some cracks. Was looking at a few sites and there seems to be a big difference in price. Legendary shows them for $492 but Herbs has them for $117. Herbs calls them caps, is that just a fiberglass or plastic cap that's hard? B/E&A has them for $254.

Pics of cracks.

Also who is a good source for a glove box door?

Thanks!
Reed

I have a dash cap on mine. You have to look close to see that it isn't OEM. The raised areas have to be shaved down so the dash cap doesn't have any ridges in it.
Glove box door is a 1970 only part. I am pretty sure all B body cars used the same door. Charger, Coronet, Belvedere, Road Runner, GTX. I doubt they are reproduced. Wildcat Auto Wrecking in Sandy, Oregon may have a few. There is always Stephens Performance in Alabama.

Glove box door 70 only? Huh, learn something new everyday.

The 68 and 69 models hinge from above. The 1970 has the hinge on the bottom.

you're car looks like it requires a full rocker panel..
The part that you inquired about is part of a full rocker from amd.
Althow before amd came about we used too fab them.

Thanks! The pics on the AMD site don't show very well.

Car just got back from blaster late Friday, I'll post up some pics.

Need a paint code for the dash. It had B5 interior code but the dash frame, dash pad, column, plastic trim looks darker than B5. Have done some research and found a paint code B7 (Baltic Blue) for the dash and related darker pieces. Can anybody please shed some light on this subject?

Here are a few pics after the blaster. Whoever painted it last had sprayed the underside with some nasty thick undercoating. Knew once that was gone some sins would show. It's going to need both front floor pans, and the truck floor is peppered with holes. Second pic is the torsion crossmember.
The rear window was in better shape than expected.

Been plugging away on the Charger. Have the front L apron installed, front floor pans and torsion bar crossmember installed. Started on the rear wheel houses now.
This car is going to be a driver. I'm on the fence to what to do with the underside. Seam seal the seams and spray it B5, spray it with Lizzard Skin then B5? I dont want to leave it black.
Here are some pics.

It's been awhile since I've updated. We waited a few months on a back ordered R qtr from AMD. All the metal work is completed and has had one coat of primer thats been blocked out. Another coat of primer on now.
Interior is going to get sprayed with Lizard Skin then top coated.
Car was originally B5, but we did a spray out of both B5 and the new B5 blue for the newer Chargers. Waiting for the customer to decide.

The Charger progress is going slow but it got rolled into the booth to get B5 sprayed in the engine compartment and underside. Customer decided to stay with the factory color and not the new PQD code. Engine is ready for paint too.
