Looked through your thread looks like 2 fun projects. They still are selling L2295s although they are running a lighter wrist pin under the sealed power brand... but if you have a oops you could come up w a piston and get back 2 the fun....Those 413 pistons my guess haven't been made for 30 years??? The 413 is a cool nostalga piece but put the 440 in the RR w 6 pack on it. No question the 440 is a better base with more potential. As far as the ported 413 heads it looks like they are clear back from '59. Imo..The pre 67 heads (besides maxwedge) take a lot of work to run with 67 and newer heads. They have a low floor and a sharp short side radius and probably started out with a 1.60 exhaust. Likely some bowl work on a 906 could run as well as a massively ported 509 from '59.
440 6 pack 70 road runner

What about for money and a time through the 906 heads on the 413,besides gaskets I'm not afraid, everything looks practically new and the 6 bbl? Crazy by the way i checked 413 bore not stock 4.230 not 4.185

It's not a bad idea upgrading the heads on the 413...you can always come up with another set of heads. Someone put a bunch of time in those old closed chamber heads but the port shape is much improved on the later heads. The 413 looks like it may have race only domes...meaning a 88cc may still be a race gas compression ratio or e85. If your intentions are to run her hard and something happens to the 413 your probably going to have to buy 8 pistons to revive it...you may even have to have it bored...some of those old forged piston ran twice as much piston clearance as we do now.
