Advice for 1970 Sport Satellite

Not gonna ask why the steering wheel needed removing for the heads.
The wheel is an integrated part of the heads via the wheelratchet connection! Its a high performance Mopar patent!

Pics on my phone aren't the best. Is the passenger side intake gasket on correct?

I think so again P3 shows them more clearly. What didn’t look correct to you?

Oil and coolant drained. Header bolts removed but I need to get back under her to disconnect the headers from the exhaust. I have never installed or removed heads. They should pull away as one entire assembly with no further dismantling correct? Any adive here is appreciated!!

Do you have a wet/dry vac? When you pull the heads coolant will go into the cylinders. A shop vac makes it easy to suck up all coolant.

Good idea I will see if my old vac work with fluids. Thanks for the heads up 68!

Since everything is still together does it make sense to try and run a compression test on all the cylinders? Or does the coolant intrusion complicate the testing?

Nope. Just yank the heads. They might take a little persuasion to break free. Wooden hammer handle stuck in an intake port and give a little yank. Usually enough to crack em loose

Ok passengers head. The gasket looks newer to me but then again I never saw the factory’s. It actually looks just fine. Pistons look clean no major carbon build up. Humm...

Driver side came off with the head. Not sure if I did the damage but the gasket was twisted so thats why I think I may have caused that. Not sure...

Yup that first one is real would that cause a leak? I guess any cylinder openings are an issue. Here are better shots of that one.
