Good Morning to all.
I am sure this has been asked & answered probably many times over on here, so please excuse the question.
I recently purchased a 67 Coronet 440 wagon, with a terrible sounding exhaust. I am after that old school factory sound. It is equipped with a 383 & HP stock manifolds.
I recently put on a set of Dynomax super turbo's as I was told this was "as close to stock" but I find still too loud for my taste.

I am looking at Accurate exhaust's muffler's B-body mufflers & have listened to the sound clips, but want to ask are they quieter than the turbo muffler & more the stock sound I am after.
Any incite provided is helpful.

Thanks

Yes accurate mufflers are good and quieter than dyno max.

Accurate has 2 levels of mufflers, you want the stock replacement type they offer. The others are louder.

I did just the opposite this past spring.

Took the too quite Hemi mufflers off. And put the Dynomax super turbos On.

I like it A LOT better

Exactly the info I have been after. So the Hemi muffler you had on was quieter than the turbo? Were they Accurate's hemi mufflers?

I have the Accurate stock "quiet tone" exhaust system on my 67 Hemi Charger and like the sound. My system has the ACM55- 2.5" ( inlet on my H pipe is 2.5") x 2.25" outlet mufflers.

The Part # ACM6056 are the High Performance series mufflers, which are louder. Call Accuarate (541-672-2661) and speak with Rebekah for your order.

I recently put a pair of Walker mufflers on my 1964 Polara, with a 440 rebuilt to Magnum spec's. These mufflers have 2.5" inlet and 2 .25" outlet, and have a very nice rumble to them, that is not intrusive when cruising. I also have a pair of repro " Hemi" mufflers on my 1967 R/T, that are much louder. These give considerable drone up to 40 mph., but are liveable at cruise. I much prefer the Walker mufflers on the '64.

No. Mufflers I took off came via Year one maybe 20 plus years ago. Where they got them I have no idea

I put the Dynomax Superturbos on .
Not loud , not quite

I have new super turbos in 2.5 and I put vibrant can style resonators. It’s new car level of quiet now. Exactly what I wanted. Don’t overlook hangers too. I went back with stock style that are made for 2.5 pipe. No vibrations. 69 GTX with manifolds.
