Short update....
MSD Blaster II coil.... MSD Ready to run Distributor.... and NO Ballast Resistor.... Works perfekt...( and one part less that can fail
:hello2:
MSD system gets the positive power source straight from Batt/Alt system. The wires to ballast what everybody splices out is just a trigger ( turn on ) for the MSD system, no matter if Ready to Run or Module, so actually no need to bypass the ballast, just wire the existant coil wire from stock system and will work perfectly

sorry I am confused now. I'm checking several READY TO RUN diagrams and they show they are wired with ballast ?
... that´s why I am confused.... called MSD ( they told me the System doesn´t need a BR ! ) But they sell the Blaster II Coil with a BR
..??? Currently I am running the coil without a BR ( but who knows how long....)
If I use the BR I don´t get 12 V to the coil / Distributor.... and perhaps the spark will be weak ..??
they sell the coil with BR if you are using stock system, just replacing the coil, but still stock ign system.
Modules sends both coil leads at the trigger order so that's why BR is not needed anymore ( although like explained, you can keep it if don't want to completelly hack up the wiring and using the original + lead of coil wire as the turn on trigger for the MSD module ). Coil is not getting constant power from ign system source, like stock system does.
But it seems RTR distributor works just like the stock system, keeping + lead of coil sourced all the time
