best tire combo? 275/60/15 rear.. 235/60/15 looks short for front.

getting a bit spooked for the awesome 295 50's on my 8" rims.. it would "work" but not be ideal till i get 9" or ideally, 10" rims. to get my front looking better may just get the 245 60's up front or 225 70's.. and keep the 275 60's out back that are on the car. i added another 1.5 turs on the lower control arm screws and brought the front up a bit more. looking more like i like it, and bit more tire up front to fill in the wheel well will be nice (235 60 on there now just seems tad small to me). awesome info guys !!

make sure to drive it a bit after torsion bar adjustment because the front will settle a bit and may appear a little lower.

Measure to see if the 235 - 70 will fit on yours to balance the 275-60. Some folks have luck with the 235s on the front, apparently others do not.

235 70 15's on front are for sure on short-list .. so i don't end up buying 4 new tires (just 2 fronts). seeing a lot of photos and video on the Vanguard motor sales page that have many of their mopars in past, sold with 235 70's on the front and 275 60's out back. will see. this combo would certainly fill up the wheel wells!

I've got 235/70x15s on the front of my 69 rr, on 6" steelies.

what brand/model tires Front and Rear? I don't often see that size. Looks great!
Thank you!

33 IMP is correct. The rears are Mickey Thompson ET Street SS Drag radials. The front are an older set of firestones that I will be replacing over the winter. I won't drive one of these older cars with power on anything but drag radials. I don't worry about the car going sideways or kicking out when I hammer it, when I romp on it they hook great.

I'd rather replace a worn set of drag radials instead of old dry rot tires with tread left, haha.
