Can of rusty worms

Sweet ride doing a 440 for mine doing bodywork right now been lucky mine was born on the west coast and no rust but damn door dings.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm looking forward to seeing your project pics!
You're lucky to find one rust free. I've only had one rust free old mopar that i should have never sold. A nice 73 duster with 49000 miles and factory rust proofing. No rust or any body work needed. Sold it in 1993 during a recession .

It's been a while since I've posted. Added the new in-dash tach and a few more gauges. I haven't connected the temp gauge yet because I can't get the plug out yet. Over the winter I hope to add a shroud and a new ignition system.
I had a buddy of mine who had a duster with a 340 4 speed and i want to say it was a hatchback but yet i have never seen one since then.

I was hoping to just clean up the engine bay but I'm finding more spots here and there that'll need attention. Man there's a ton of undercoating under thoseView attachment 301075View attachment 301076View attachment 301077 fenders!

Actually, I sold the poly to a guy who waited months for me to pull it. I didn't I'd be able to sell it and was thinking about keeping it but I promised him so off it went.

A bit of surface rust is making it challenging. If the car wasn't already painted, I'd just media blast it. Maybe I'll find a way anyway! I think the fenders have to come off to make those other repairs. Now if I can get them off without scratching them up...

Thanks to Mr Belvedere's posting on his 67 ragtop (great read btw), I bought a needle/scaler. I love this tool! Together with a wirewheel in my drill, the rust is fading away.

Time for some new meats! Finding LH thread lug nuts is a pain, so I decided to replace the studs on the front wheel.

The drums must have been drilled out by a PO but the studs are still swaged.

I cut the studs below the swage and they popped right out on the press.

The new studs pressed in nice and tight.

The shoulders are a little tall and test fitting into the rim shows a problem getting the hub to fit flush.

A little milling with the die grinders fixes the problem.

Nice and flush now.

As much as I like the steelies, I felt this Polara with all that chrome trim needed something more shiny.

275 60's fill up the wells much nicer imo.

Took me a while to decide on a style, but I finally went with Torque Thrust II's

Yep just has a different trim package. Mine is a 440 model side trim a little different and only run two tail light on each side. Dodge had a few different models starting with the 330,440,500 and the polara. Plus it also came in the sedan and ragtop. I have seen some pictures of this car as a concept for the charger but it was put on the shelf of course i dug into finding out how true this was and not really find anything on it. So I'm thinking it's a joke.

Oh man that would be great...... Some of the Door Slammers club members are going to that. I have been traveling a lot for work lately and want to stay close to home this weekend. Have fun.

If mine turns out as nice as his i will be happy. Getting alot of parts in order and having the engine worked on will top the 440 off wit a six pac

Those wheels look sharp! I bet you cannot wait to get it out.

On the wheel studs I found that the 610-090 work as great replacements, used them on my 62 when swapping out the swaged drums. They are listed for Jeep.
