Carlisle Chrysler Nationals 2024 Tent Activities

Great trip to Carlisle this year.
We hauled back a lot of stuff in the Charger.
I'll show some pictures tomorrow when I unload it.

Had a quick trip home 4:40.

A nice cool evening here, I always say this is a great place to live in the summer months.

Got it unloaded.
Much easier than loading it in the 95 degree heat yesterday.

Friday I went to South Mountain to race and the 1st pass I smoked the alternator. ONE and done!Saturday I left the car on the flatbed and walked and walked.... The lunch at the tent was great with a huge attendance!
Thanks to Hawk and pistol Pete for all their hard work!! It was nice putting faces with the screen names. I had a great time.

missed you again, this year......... saw your car on the flatbed at an intersection friday evening in town, wanted to jump out and say hi, but the light turned green

My wife is baking three batches of brownies and if she gets the time, a batch of cookies too. I’ll be there for the Saturday lunch meet!
Thank you - and boy, were they good! They disappeared quite quickly! Please give her our greateful thanks! :drinks:

I know that it was a car show but I was hoping to see pictures of FBBO members to put faces with screen names. I see Dennis got a haircut.

Is that MARK on the left side?
As others said, he pulled it back into a ponytail. But he DID clean up for the event!!!:lol::lol:

Thanks everyone for a great day yesterday at the tent!

As usual, I was running around like crazy, trying to do 10 things at once and doing none of them very well. I certainly didn't have time for many pictures, but here are a few at least:

Here is what we start with. It's a bigger tent now that we have many of you signing up we "FBBO" as your club. Thank you to those of you who did!

Then we gotta take a lot of this junk and set up our vending "camp" and the tent.

Our "base camp" all set up!

Then we get tables and Chairs from Richard (Restoration Parts and Supplies), but have to lug them up to the FBBO tent. Then, on Saturday morning at 7AM, @5wndwcpe (aka Pistol Pete), Barry and I were up at the tent bringing canopies, grills, food, tables, etc, etc, etc. Pistol Pete's grill station is under the blue canopy and mine was under the red one (that's my Road Runner in the foreground too).

Then, the man, the myth, the legend: Pistol Pete fired up his grills and burners. He was prepared!

Here's one as things were winding down and the crowd was dwindling:

And, as has been mentioned already - we got the third largest tent award this year. The clubs in first and second place better worry!

There are many to thank, either for bringing food, drinks or raffle giveaway prizes. Thank you for those that helped - it is much appreciated.
The event is getting very large, but it is also getting to be very expensive. A few folks also contributed very generously to the donation box. Thank you, as this helps defray the costs to put this on.

Hope everyone had a good time!

you took that pic? did I get to meet you?....... I try to introduce myself to everyone, but I was running late all day
I apologize for just doing a drive-by, but the wife and I were trying to wrap up the voting and get back to checking on our 80 year old friend at the car. We did get to say hi to @68BabyBlue. Always great talking with Adam, as well as @moparwacko Barry and @Don Frelier at the cruise night.

catch you next year, you'll be on my short list......... I got to speak with quite a few members this year; it's a great group to be associated with

I wanted to meet Dennis, as I missed him last year........... he was the very first person I ran in to!

It was nice seeing some of you guys at the show and THANKS for stopping by to see me. I also want to Thank @HawkRod and any other member who cooked lunch today. I couldn’t make it but my wife was able to head over and grab some food for us. Ribs, chicken, shrimp all EXCELLENT! Big Thanks to you guys as eating Sheetz food three days straight was that exactly what we needed…
Well, @5wndwcpe (AKA Pistol Pete), should get most of the accolades for the food. He is the Grill master!

I just provided the meatball sandwiches. Regardless, we are happy you enjoyed it and glad we could provide some decent food for you.

Hope you had a safe trip and a fruitful Carlisle event!

Wow, it was a Mopar filled weekend! The lunch gathering Saturday was the highlight of the show for me. I really enjoyed seeing everybody, the fellowship, and endless humor! Collectively, you guys are a fun gang to hang with. Lots of laughs - looking forward to meeting again next year.
@5wndwcpe - the food you prepared was outstanding, and @HawkRod - you outdo yourself every year! I truly appreciate all the hard work, cooking, and planning you guys put into this! AND we won 3rd place for club attendance! F-Yeah!
Here are a couple pics I took...
