Did the doors a little while ago. Had to repair the lower inner structure on both doors front and back and then do some skin repair.

This is freeking awesome!!

Someday, someday I will tackle this sort of a project with a too far gone 64 galaxie 500XL that I use as a yard ornimant right now.

Sorry for mentioning a Ford in your bad *** bee project thread but I saw the mustang and figured the F-word might not offend too badly.

this is one bad *** Bee for sure.

Decided to work on the car today after humming and hoeing until about two o'clock. I have been sick with the flu and coming home after work the last thing on my mind was to go in the shop and work on my **** box.
Got the roof skin off the old frame and then placed on the car for a looksy. This took me 7 1/2 hrs and what a somebitch of a job that was and I still have a bunch of work on it and have to get rid of the rust on the underside. I wanted to just get a new skin but I thought I would try and salvage this one, so far so alright.

Got the roof skin and the deck filler panel fitted, cleaned the outside of the skin, then I will use some muriatic acid to do the inside and then blast the edges inside and out and then weld it in place.

I Agree!

Even how the car is now, those big meats on the back make the car look mean as hell..

Hey Super, nice work. Got a question for you. We have our tubs in the 1970 but don't have the new quarters on yet, did you have to adjust the front edge of the wheel opening so it dosn't touch the tire?

I cut the lip off all around and took 1 1/2" off from the front and back. Doing this the 1/4 becomes flimsy so I shaped a piece of round stock 3/16" to match the contours of the 1/4 panel and then welded it in right at the edge. I am using a 33" tall tire and wanted to get the face of the tire 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" from the outside face of the 1/4 panel. I don't like the look of the tire being 4-6 inches in.

I'm kind of hurting for an inspirational update... got anything?

Sorry Dave but I got nothing, so I am going to a custom car show tomorrow to get a little more inspiration myself. I will post a few pics just for you to help you out,LOL.

Buddy of mine is headed to Winnipeg with a 37 lincoln zepher woody in a trailer, he's just at the final completion stages with it, beautiful car.

I guess it's car show season everywhere. If I had one happening closer to home I might go myself. Nothing like a little shine and gleam to inspire.
