CDN72SE's Restoration Thread

Didn't realize it had been this long since an update...

Bought a set of BFG’s, I did contemplate getting some Cooper Cobra Radial G/T, but in the end, I think I am just attached to the BFG’s, curious to see how the RWL holds up to any browning.

Went with the same size as before; 255/60R15 for the front & 275/60R15 for the rear.

Also took advantage of some Black Friday deals and bought 15x7 Magnum 500s (54-5712044) for the front and 15x8 for the rear (54-5812042).

Don't really know if the orange is correct, kind of a flat orange.

Valve stems for the Magnums.

Charger72 I have the same size BFG's on the back of mine and somehow it looks small in the wheel well.
I'm curious to see what the same size BFG will look like on the back of your Charger as it is a bigger car.

Hey Beeper, I'm curious as well as I had 15 x 7 on the rear previously. I got tired of reading tire threads so I just thought I qould go 15 x 8 and see how it looks. Might get the tires mounted over Christmas.

I was told to try a 70 series tire and go up on the dia. So I tried finding 295-70R15's but all I could find in that size is a light truck tire.

This morning I took a quick trip to nationalmoparts.com in Beaverton, Ontario. Four hour drive there and back home, hadn't been there since I was 25, that was 30 years ago! Met with Nigel who is now still going strong at 64.

Brought back lots of memories and we shared some stories, he said he would buy my car back for what he sold it to me for $2,500, lol. Saw a lot of c-bodies and some b-bodys. Up on top of the container was a '71 Charger and a '70 something Road Runner or Satellite. He had lots of parts in doors.

Picked up my AMD tinted windshield, wanted to save on the shipping. Also bought a rebuilt OEM brake caliper and 7 Rib vacuum hose kit to use with my AC Heater Control.

Haven't been there in 3 years myself. Yep use to go up there to pick up a load of parts while on vacation. Save big on the shipping on the larger parts. Use to load up the back of the Ram and head east. I made 3 part runs so far to there. 16 hour trip one way for me.

Went back 30 years later and it's still the same mud hole... good thing you didn't go during a melt! LOL

The Magnum 500s will look great on your car. Where did you order them from?
