Hey Mopar lovers: My current car insurance won't cover the value of my 73 Road Runner, which I figure is at least $20K. It's original with no modifications, other than a new paint job. I've heard that JC Taylor is good for insuring classics. Anyone used them or have other suggestions for an insurer?
Thx, Luther

luther,
i've been with grundy insurance 4 /22 years never have had a problem.
just my 2cents.

I have jc taylor. No problems with them.

I've had JC Taylor for over 10 years and have shopped their rate and it is competitive with others in the industry for agreed value insurance. I don't know how the company pays out, never had a claim. I guess you really don't know how good it is till its time to make a claim, but I have not heard anything negative about them.

I have had Hagerty's for over 12 years and even had some claims and they paid off fast on them and didn't go up. I have road service thru them too and it is good also. Ronnie

I've had Hagerty for over 10 years now, too. I think so long as you can get a stated value policy, backed behind a decent outfit, you're good.

If i were looking now, i would check Hagerty, seems a lot like them and they are rated among the best. Ive used Infinity for the last 3 years.. No complaints..

Dont get a stated value policy, get an agreed value policy. Stated just means that YOU think it's worth x amount, and in the event of total loss, they pay what they think is fair. Agreed value is what you and the ins. co. both agree on, so in the event of a total loss, THAT'S WHAT YOU GET PAID. My 2 cents, stay away from stated value value policies.

Gotta love Hagerty...been with them for years...1966 Malibu...1965 Galaxie 500...1967 Suzuki Scrambler 250 and now our 1973 Roadrunner...not a bit of hassle...Marla

They will also insure late model "exotics". I have my wife's 99 Prowler with Hagerty. Very reasonable rates.

Same here. Had J C Taylor for 22 years, no claims. All good so far with them.

I have been with JC Taylor for 9 years and their rates were some of the lowest available when I was looking around. I have also filed a claim and let me be clear; They were AWSOME!!!!!!!!!

Ditto on Hagerty agreed value, just uped it to $25k for my 69 RR. Alao let them know about the motor swap, cost me an additional $32 a year for a total of $262.

Another vote for Hagerty. I've raised the agreed value each year while restoration goes on and they are cool as can be about it. Wish my regular insurance was this affordable!
