two good tapes...LOL... I still have a cassette player/CD in my 99 4x4SLT Dakota, good old 80's music

haven't seen a pull top ring in years thou....

Yea, old school pull tops.
I sent pic to guy I bought Charger from. He was cracking up, said he'd been looking for those tapes for years....

This carpet sticker was floating on the floor of my 1969 Charger back in 1986;

I found these two stickers in my 1970 GTX, attached to the top of the 8-track when I restored the car in 1999;

This is the back of the 8-track where the stickers were found...

The 'then owner' was somehow connected with Chrysler in Las Vegas, and he was the guy who imported the car to New Zealand in 1974.

....and this has to be the most pathetic piece of Broadcast Sheet ever discovered by anyone so far;

Pop and I restored a '57 Dodge Coronet for a local woman. Last NYS inspection sticker was dated '69. 33k showing on the clock. When I pulled the interior out to clean it up (it was immaculate, still covered in plastic hog ringed to the frames) I found a weekend parking pass to Yellowstone, dated 1960. It was priced out at a whole whopping $2.00.

There was all kinds of receipts like that. Her late husband used the Dodge and it's huge trunk like a pick up. An Agway receipt dated in the early '60's. He paid something like fifty cents for a 50# bag of feed. The receipt had six bags listed.

I put all of what I found in a photo album with the pics of the restoration.

Man, that makes me feel lucky for what I found:

Kinda funny tho, the only bit of legible info is what I was already positive about, that I had a red 1966 Charger..... ;-)

The usual, most of which has been already covered, but I have been trying to find the owner of a class ring I found under the back seat of my '69 Coronet R/T hardtop. If you know a girl from Santa Clara High School (I'm pretty sure California), Class of 1978, that lost their ring in that car, let me know and I'll send it back. It does have the name engraved inside, but I'm not posting it to prevent fraud.

I have done a few internet searches, and haven't found anything that led to a contact.

I'll bet you can find her on face book.

When I get my new car delivered sometime this week, I will have to post pictures, the owner said that he hadn't opened the trunk since the late 1980s, and the car has been sitting in a barn for the last ten years.

In the 67 Belvedere I recently purchased I found a AA prayer book with a $1 winning scratch off in it under the front seat, a roach in the truck(not the bug), some change in the ashtray that had been there a very long time and a cool twin propeller airplane pin under the rear seat.

Nope. Tried that, and classmates, and a few others, but that was a few years ago. Now that I'm thinking of it I should recheck.

I was doing the dirty deed/bumping ugly's with a beautiful girl Oregon Cheerleader, that was from Santa Clara High {Calif.}, she was a year behind me so she would have been class of 1978, that drove a 69 R/T that was her dads car IIRC, back in about 1980-81ish, when I was home from Univ. of Oregon, where we both went to school, we got together on some holidays, booty calls, anyway she lost her ring in the act of our indiscretion, in the roomy back seat, in some wooded area by Hwy 280 IIRC, we never found it... her name was Jill M., she lives in Antioch Ca. & is married today, I see here every so often when I visit my sister Tina, I went to school with her hubby... hell it's shot in the dark, it had her birth stone in it, I think it was Ruby {not sure thou, long time ago} she was born in July just like me...

Thats funny! Jills not the name, and no ruby stone...

HAHAHAHAHA, thats hilarious.

A very brown baggie of pot. It was so dry that it just fell apart. Thing bad about that was I had bought a 70 Duster for parts to fix up my 67 Dart and the complete interior from the Duster went into the Dart. That Dart was hammered on for a good 4 years from street racing to an accidental burnout in front of a cop with the straight pipe roaring lol. Didn't find the pot until I parted out the Dart after wrecking it. The baggie was stuffed in the bottom of the driver's seat. This was in the 70's when you could get 2 years just for a roach.....

What a great thread! As a newbie thanks to all. In our very first car we found a spoon used to cook heroin that still had residue in it. The car had been stolen and bought at a police auction. I have a trunk full of Studebaker stuff I got in the last Oldsmobile I bought. Seems like I always find a pair of jumper cables.

Took me a while to get through this thread... funny stuff!

About 10 years back I bought a 61 Polara - the orignal owner had died so the family was selling it. After getting it home and going through it, I found some very cool thin framed green Cool-Ray sunglasses in the glove box. The front bench seat on the drivers side had a lump where your right thigh rested, so I stuck my hand under there to see what the heck it was. Turned out to be a loaded Gov issue Colt 45! Surface rust and patina all over it. That freaked me out a bit...

Also, when I was removing the gas tank from my 43 jeep, I found an M1 Garand clip as well as a 1942 quarter down in the sump. That was pretty cool.

Wow. Wish I had found a Colt 45 in my car. 64 Sport Fury that had sat in a field for 7 years. Got it to the house, and started pulling the interior out. Had went back to my toolbox to get something, turned back to the car, and watched two healthy rats running out. Stopped working on car, and bought two large rat traps.
Only other thing was while pulling out the dash. Heard something fall, and after I pulled the dash out of the car, there was a like new owner's manual sitting on the heater box.

LMAO now that's one hell of a coincidence if I've ever heard one!
