DePouli's 1969 Charger 318

Had to drill the repro fender for wheel mldg. Decided not to install cause there is a run that the painter will need to wet sand out when they buff.

You had a VERY productive day, coming along great! If you have the FSM you should read where the window adjustment screws are.

I read it now, and the trans linkage adjustment. Will hit them both in the AM. Both seem fairly easy... famous last words...

Gorgeous!!
Sorry about the hood, but it can be fixed. Are you going with stock hubcaps?

Going with wheel covers yes. Not the ones per the build sheet (which off my head I think were W11's), but these. I had them repainted by TotallyAuto they arrive back via UPS Monday

Trans linkage adjusted, good to go there.

Window adjusted. It is much better but not quite where I want it but I'm out of adjustment in the screws. Repro glass may he a bit more curved or something. It's weather tight so gonna go with it.

So I had noticed a few things with my lights...that some were on for no reason. Like the left break light and the right hood turn signal. With putting the indiactor to the left they would go off. So I suspected the turn signal switch. One of the few peices of electrical that I reused (though repro).

Just finished swapping them out and that solved most all of it. My brake pedal isn't full returning so I have intermittent brake lights... Will look I. To that shortly.

While I had the whole column more or less torn apart I figured I would put in the cruise control indicator arm I bought. Though I have no other cruise components yet. I intend to aquire them.

So threaded the wires down and went to install and all went good until I moved the indicator to make room for the screw driver to screw the turn signal switch collar down...nothing moved.

The non cruise indiactor arm is threaded and has to tabs to move the switch. The cruise indiactor arm is not threaded nor does it have the tabs. Yanked that back out and will have to research that more. Oh well. Minor detail. Right one is non cruise, left is cruise:

Other electrical gremlins to solve...

One high beam out
Parking lights don't come on
No instrument lights
No fuel oil or temp guages
And something is up with the wipers... They moved...then they didn't but I can hear the motor going....that won't be fun to get to those.

All in time... Clock worked another thing that never had previously...it's repro...

New repro steering wheel with no cracks...another first in my ownership.

Went ahead and put the horn ring on, just in case

I pulled the car out so I could get the door open more to look at the brake. I see no obviously means to attach a spring or otherwise enure the brake returns 100%.

Prior to checking that however I thought the engine sounded bad. I opened the hood and noticed the fan assembly moving out of balance significantly. Sorry video is too large to upload. Will try to put it on YouTube.
Anyway. I think I found my coolant leak on the front side. New water pump will be procured.

I didn't want to run the motor to get it back in and of course, the rain that was holding off, didn't hold any longer ... My pitcrew helped me put it back in...

Seems I'm finding more to work on that I am completing today...

Figured out the brake light deal.

You can adjust the position of the switch...

Check that off the list...

Next item I have to "figure out"

Battery hold down. It seems way back 10+ year ago when I bought the battery hold down I got a short and a long j-hook. Well the short doesn't work.
IMG_20190609_181537.jpg

And then problem #2 is the the battery covers most of the hole in the bottom which I assume is the second j-hook location. Also feel like that one the hook would be on the top as it likes to fall out, but then you can only tighten on one side...more research...and another long j-hook.
