DePouli's 1969 Charger 318

The car show story for that hood.... you forgot that the wife had nipple rings when you bent her over the hood!

Trying to do at least one thing everyday I'm home and not traveling for work... Today it is interior stainless door moldings.

Some of this stuff I figure it is safer on the car then in my shop with two kids running around.

IMHO.. you are getting way ahead of the headliner install. It can be done, mine was done in '88 with all glass in, but it's SO much easier with no glass or roof rail trim in place.

Excellent point, I guess I should clarify that the place I am having do the headliner has limited indoor space and I know from past experience the car will sit outside at some point so I feel I need a weather tight car. I'm confident in his abilities to either handle as is or take the weather stripping and roof rail trim off and back on safely. But for others following the thread that are going to do headliner themselves than yes I am going out of the advisable order.

I thought about putting the carpet in to get it out of the way but decided against it or any other soft interior finishes (aside from the seat to drive it) for risk of rubber cement or other accidental droppings from the headliner install.

Earlier I attempted to install the rear window stainless (repro). I realized I was over my head on that one as it wasn't easily snapping it. Plus trying to install under the lift is just awkward.

So either gonna need some pointers or TO that to a professional to install.

One of the other goals I have I simply to make room in the garage some...

Spare tire out of the way...

Weather was supposed to be raining, but I got the car outside just to run it some and cause I needed some room to open doors and trunks all the way.

It would seem my coolant leak is much better but definitely still there albeit minor.

It would also seem I need to adjust my transmission linkage cause I can't seem to find neutral or park. I've never done before so will have to read up on that.

I had the paint shop leave a small section of original Gold paint

Now you see it

The other reason I wanted to get the rail on is to check window fit.

The passenger side is not so hot. I can't seem to adjust the rail itself any more. If I put a little pressure out on the glass it fits much better. Since this is the side I messed with I wonder if I can adjust it in the door. Need I read on that too.

Windshield moldings went on easy another thing that was never right in the 23 years I've owned it ...
These are the ones I are particularly satisfying to check off the list.

My helper made a brief appearance to sit on the seat while I bolted it in place...He so wants to go for a ride (so do I!!), But got to get this trans thing figured out cause I can't start it in park or neutral, just the remote starter.
