I had to trim this rolled over edge on the quarter panel
so it would tuck underneath the drip rail
the line on the tape marks the end of the drip rail
and where it should be trimmed

So here you can see the lip just before I zipped it off.
That lip needed to be trimmed of so the quarter will fit
under the drip rail

I am still always impresses with your quality of work. I enjoy watching your progress.

So about a month ago I built this small extension so that with the door up I can get behind the car and work.
In Jan and Feb when it is 5 degrees outside, I will be able to work comfortably.

Don how did the driprails fit? I have to put a pair of them on my Daytona stock car.

I thought they fit great! I had no issues that I am aware of.

The garage extension look's grate. Did the same thing with mine just to put the exhaust fan in for a paint booth. We do what we have too. Just to get these cars done. Impressive work. Had to replace the inner roof skeleton on my runner. I have good gap on the trunk but ran into problem's with the back window. Replaced drip rail's and all. It is a wonder I even have it together. LOL. Keep the pic's coming like what you have done.

Thanks Don,someone shaved the driprails on the Daytona stockcar, and I want to run the wind deflectors on the A pillars and they don't fit right without the driprails. I already bought them from AMD.

The ones I welded in were from AMD and they were really nice!
Daytona stock car? Do you have a resto thread on it?

Yep, Don there is a thread on here in the Daytona Superbird section. The car is a 70 Charger R/T body on a circa 2005 Laughlin Nascar chassis ,with an aero kit from Dayclona. It will be powered by a 472 Hemi engine. My engine builder has kinda put the project on hold, but I hope to get back to it after the holidays. You have made amazing progress on your car,it's looking like a whole car again! Nice work Don!

Thank you, I have a long way to go, but 1 step at a time even if they are baby steps. And I will be sure to check out your thread.

Don, I love the garage extension... you should have put some windows or plexiglass in that extension to get more light in there. :poke:

Don great work. Every time I get close to get some thing done on my cars some thing happens.
