Went for some cruisin' today. Pounded her sometimes but 2 times, after flooring it, the engine stalled:

1. went to all four gears, hard. Approaching crossroad so when I pressed the clutch and the car stopt rolling, the engine stalled
2. from standing still...in first, WOT, tires burn...clutch -> stall

Concerns a Edelbrock 4 bbl carb on a 383 engine.

Any guesses?

Thanks!

I would check the floats or I had a carb that the needle and seat had dirt in it and it did the same thing.

The float setting on the modern Eddy carbs is 7/16". Also check your fuel pressure. Should be about 6-7 PSI and no more.

If you have no luck with the carby side of things.I recently read an artical on recurving distributors, it stated that if the dizzy advances too quickly it can possibly cause stalling (among other things)after a WOT situation......just a thought on the off chance you've played with the dizzy.
