sublime was the 2K poster Prop ... Congrats

Pressing on to 2.5K or completion !! You are so close now but you can still post plenty of pics and vids of it when you are performing maximum acceleration testing later :)

Will, the wife and I can hardly wait to have heard the immortal "SHE'S ALIVE and RUNNING" still page 100 I hope.

This month if all goes well Roger, she'll be hitting the streets

Prop thought you'd like this picture of my Beagle, Milo with the Duke last weekend in front of the house where he was born.

Awesome...Cool pic! Thank you '69

Real soon sublime!

What are these "skeeters" you speak of?

696 Prop? really? Ridiculous. LOL You better start buying stock in a tire company

Without a doubt Daryn...The first 500 miles for tranny and rear end break are gonna be tough to keep from digging into the foot pedal.

You bet tallhair. 2 Thousand posts......holy smokes!

Well boys.........Engine and tranny are in. Not a whole lot of fooling around, went in pretty smooth. Off to the final stretch. Gotta measure up for the driveshaft, run the wires/linkage/lines under the hood and then to the exhaust and subframe connectors.

It looks alive sitting there like that staring straight ahead .. like a beast patiently waiting to be freed

Boy that sure looks tough Will. Going to be an exiting day when the beast is moving under it's own power.

Thanks Fella's!

If the wife's "To Do List" didn't look like the biblical scrolls, I'd be hitting the bird in speedy fashion. Any pushing from her end, the "Prune & Trim front Bushes & Tree's" is going to turn into a chain off the back of my trunk and a glowing burn pit. Gotta love it.

Motor looks great between the fenderwells for sure! Didn't leave many battle scares did you?

I kid my wife when she gives me a list of honey do projects. I tell her "shove a broom up my *** and I'll sweep the floor while I'm at it!" She never laughs?

Well snake, I honestly think they should be renamed "honey you're screwed list"

LOL...I'll have to use that one on my wife next time. I don't mind doing my fair share, but when a guy has to literally get up at 5AM and wrap up at nightfall on the weekends just to try and keep up, things are a bit excessive. Engine install took me a whopping 2 hours total, rest of the day was back on the spouse chain gang.

Not too bad on the install battle scar's...Couple small little hits on the right side shock tower and a few scratches on the left header from sliding down against the steering box. Pretty easy stuff to tighty up.

Thanks '68! Mighty kind of you. Took a while longer on the resto, but everything that I envisioned for the car is on it. No Regrets..

Man it would be hard to stay out of the garage at that point "she's close and looking great". Don't feel bad, between the "honey do list's" and my 12hr work days I managed to rebuild a power steering pump in a weak "that's it". Good luck

Guess I was alone on that one .. still looks sinister to me

I agree, looks sinister just sitting there tallhair. I guess after 44 years of getting beaten on & abused, hacked & cobbled jobbed, inundated with cancerous rust & dents, thrown in overgrown weeds in the corner, outside in the middle of nowhere Minnesota to die, now reborn and about to see the road again.....yes sir, I would have a pretty mean look on my face as well

You bet it is! Just got in from the garage...lol I guess all a fella can do is make the most of what little time he can spare. I shouldn't complain..by far the positives far out weigh the negatives and I should be more grateful the wife is patient enough to put up with my car addiction and the toll it takes on our time/space/finances/plans.

Prop:

Are you planning on bolt in type frame connectors? I must have missed one post or two if you already stated what your plans are, sorry.

Got to install them yet Tor-Red. Had to wait till the driveline was in (full weight on wheels). I'm putting in the Globe West Sub Frame connectors next week. They're weld in.

I think my "Honey Do List" is great, but My girlfriends name is Honey, so it gives it a completely different meaning...LOL... She's only around about ever other week end or so too.... sorry I couldn't resist.... your Black Beauty 69 RR is looken' great Prop, it's really got to feel freaken' awesome, to have the "POWER PLANT" in the engine bay & so close to the Virgin Test Run, after all the time, long night, research, hard work, fabrication, sanding, priming, dust, clean ups, welding, grinding, prepping, more sanding, more priming, yet sanding again, painting, even more wet sanding, buffing, polishing, ordering, purchasing, shipping, giving blood for the cause or sweat equity & $$$$ you've been thru on her...

Those are a good idea, with that Torque Monster you have...

SFC's are a must have. Specialy with the tq of the big block. Does anyone make a triangulated set?

It will be forever devoted to you for the way you've treated, healed, repaired, and improved it :).
