I can hear the mosquitoes from here! Getting lots of rain here, 7" over the weekend, SOB's are gonna be as big as crows soon.
Good luck on the land deal.

Will, the site in your land photo reminds me of our site when we started on our cabin on 07.

I am frothing at the mouth. I bet you are getting real excited to get it on the road.

You bet Robert! I'm trying to figure out how much I can actually put off and/or get away with until the wife pulls out the beating stick.

The car looks fantastic Will. I hope your optimistic outlook of bolting on a few more things and calling it done pans out. There always seems to be 1 or 2 bugs to work out, lol. Good luck with the land deal - it looks like a great getaway place.

Thanks H2E....I keep going over and over everything, but you're right, i'm sure there will be some gremlins to deal with.

that is beautiful! car doesn't look bad either!

LOL! Thanks Basket

Skeeters are pretty thick around here as well. The worst is the ticks...I haven't seen them this bad in quite a while. 7" inches? Holy smokes..Start building the Ark.

Nice Cabin Dave! That's something like what we would like to do...Nothing too fancy, but enough to keep a guy warm and dry.

Oh man, it's just awesome, we have zero regrets. We found our chunk of land in 07, built a cabin which we try to improve on a little every year... it's become quite the gathering and family bonding center, it's just amazing. I highly encourage you to move forward on that idea if you can.

Will, I'll send you a link to our cabin project thread. It's a monster of a thread that is way too long to read, almost a 6 year thread, over 45 million views... it's just dumb. But you can skim some of the early pages for some of our cabin building efforts and the early days as a new camp.

PM incoming.

Thanks. Gonna hope for the best Dave. Been looking for quite a long time and besides myself, the rest of my family is pretty big into the outdoors as well. I can only hope it goes through and I can enjoy the benefits of hanging with all my family and friends at the cabin like your family does. I appreciate the link. Needless to say, might take some time to go through it all..lol, but is a great example of what it takes. Thank you.

Outside of cars, it is my favorite pass-time, My granddad always used to ask me why we go camping so much, where i live he said just take the screens off and let the mosquitoes in and your there lol. We do live in the sticks but its not quite the same as "getting away" to your favorite place completely out of people range! Been a lot of places change hear in the 30 plus years we've been hear, other folks wanting some quiet, im real grateful the farmer that owns all the land around us refuses to sell to anyone..
Thats a great looking cabin!

Dave why don't you just post it here so the rest of us can see. If it's had 45M views I'm sure a few hundred more won't shut down the server

Will great to see you're so close. It's been a long road. I was half expecting the headlights to come on by themselves in the one photo. That would be great if you could get a deal thru on that land.

Sounds like you're settled in a good spot Ron. Blessed indeed.

Great idea!

I starts out pretty... well pretty sad and humble... It has some fun pictures in it though.

I sure hope Propwash doesn't mind.

Thanks Roger..feels great man. Hopefully initial startup goes well and the land pulls through. Would be two outstanding hurdles to accomplish.

Hey Will she's lookin good so far best of luck with that land and I wish u the best with finals on car. In stead of painting mine I should have hosed it down with pesticide, all these dam bugs I keep running into. Ill be going on my own get away this weekend. Me and some buds are going up to my in-laws cabin up in ashland county. Going to go play on the wheelers

Holy Propwash, I was recomended to come and read your post by 747mopar in my resto and started at 4pm and could not stop, lol PS I get this far in the book and still no video of you wrecking a set of tires, lol wow what a great looking car and a build, love the 512. To tell you the truth is I really have my heart set on a 511/512 stroker for my 72 charger and want to be a street demon, so that is why I was told to go here, I did see the thread and skipped it a few times because of the number of pages and I hate to scroll through them. But now that I did read from 1 - 103 I have learned lots even though I have a different car there is lots in comon. I do have a few questions for you, but as you can see it is after midnight and 6 am comes fast, lol It would be a great book also if you ever made it, I would buy one, so now its time for the VIDEO, Thx and keep up the great work.

Thanks for reading Mach. Appreciate that and I'm glad you enjoy it. Any advice I can lend on a 511/512 combo, please do not hesitate to ask. I'm not too proud and have no secret recipe for what went into mine. A large portion of the parts that went on the motor as well as some other variables with the engine came from feedback from fellow FBBO members. The least I can do is share the wealth of knowledge that people shared with me. With the power it put out on dyno, it goes to show there's a lot of folks here that really know their stuff. One line of advice I can give you off the bat is not to go too nuts with duration, lift and crazy ported heads if you plan on keeping the car on the street a majority of the time. Like 747 mentioned in your thread, you have more cubes and stroke already making you a bunch more power with a 512 and it can be very easily made streetable. But....It's easy to cross that line, especially when it comes to picking out the camshaft.

Progress on the bird......I have the TTI 3" exhaust in but not locked in place yet. Quality of the kit is really impressive and to my surprise it came with two factory style rear exhaust tip hangers. Only hitches I have with the kit are: The rear exhaust pipes come to the end of the vehicle and are slant cut for cosmetics, so a factory/aftermarket tip would not be needed. I purchased the oval slant cut factory style tips from Classic (which are made by Accurate-beautiful polished stainless-Made in USA). I would highly recommend. They make these tips for 2" up to 3" I believe (slip fit). Anyways, had to cut off the last 12 1/4" of the pipes to accommodate them. Also, the TTI exhaust also had a welded on bracket in the rear to hang the pipes from those factory style mounts. Those interfered with the factory style tips being able to be slid on. I had to cut out the welds and tiger wheel those areas back to the surface of the pipe. No biggie. Also, like I said before..I need to fabricate some exhaust to header adapters being the line up is offset. Hoods going back on tonight (along with the 512 emblems) and I just ordered my Kenwood AMP, Subwoofer and Kinetik HC1800 High Performance battery. Like mentioned in earlier posts, my intentions for the Stereo is not to make the car sound like a crashing bag of aluminum cans. I'm going for a crisp, clear sound with a little bit of thump. Also, when a little kitchen kettle plastic wing ding car pulls up next to me, instead of me hearing their Howitzer rap, they'll be entertained with 150db of CCR and the Stones, as well as a roaring 512. Suprise..suprise.

Prop/Will she's gotta' be really close... I'm waiting in anticipation on pins & needles... Oh yeah & don't forget to wear the Depends the 1st real romp or beater run that you go on, you will probably "no doubt" need them !!...LOL... sounds like you had a great week in the outdoors & looking at land... Have fun keep us posted
