what no post in 7 days...LOL...

Made some good progress here in the past few days Budnicks. About to start the drum roll, but off to disappear in the woods for several days. Kayaks, rods and tent are all loaded up. Something about going from a world of deadlines and convenience to a world of simple necessity and self reliance that changes the tune on ones record, and boy am I overdue. Some find their rest in fancy hotels, fine dining, crowded lines and the occasional T-Shirt from the trinket shop. I find mine watching the morning sun slowly melt the fog off a quiet lake, carving a kayak down a twisted whitewater pass or kicking back to a warm, cracking campfire under the balsams & pine. I won't come home with a clam shell ashtray, truck stop bottle opener or ritzy drink cup with a funny straw, but I will come home full of life and comfort. Being able to shed the confines of society and its gnawing grip is far more valuable than anything a plastic little card can swipe.

You guys take care and try to keep the from burning the place down down would ya? LOL

I was a boy scout I don't need matches or a lighter. FIRE, FIRE, hea hea hea, yea FIRE. LOL

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire,
We don't need no water let the motherf-er burn,
Burn motherf-er burn.

He's busy finishing it up .. sweetening the unveiling with the silence :)

yeah probably, but I wanted to check in & bump it up again...LOL...

Will's probably like that beer commercial and has an eagle scoop out a beer from the cold stream and drop it in his hand or wrestling a salmon out of a bear's mouth.

Thanks Guys! Good to see the place is still standing...lol Finally back to society here. Wasn't too keen about coming back, but the bills aren't gonna pay themselves. Ended up hanging in the woods only about an hour and half from the house, so no real big expedition. Never the less, it was still great to disappear into the woods..needed it. Camped on the banks of the Pike River (great for trout) and on the banks of the Menominee River (great for Smallmouth and Walleye). Anyways, didn't snap a lot of pic's but here are a couple pic's from where we camped on the Pike River.

It may be cold and miserable here in the winter, but having this scenery close to the house to enjoy makes it all worth it. My brother in law and I stumbled on 40 acres for sale that's pretty much butted up to the pike river. There's actually an easement on the property that runs back and leads to State Wild river access land. We stopped and met the older gentleman selling the land and i'll be going up Saturday to put in an offer. My brother in law and I are both big into hunting/fishing/being in the sticks, so it seems to be a great opportunity. Land even has a nice clearing (originally made for a deer food plot), that would make a great area for a cabin and garage. We'll see... Here's a pic.

On to the bird......Well, she's getting close, real close. I won't go through all of what's been done since last update (it has been a ton of work), but the amount that's left is down to 2/3 full days worth of work. I need to finish mounting in the radiator, run the tranny cooling lines, install the 3" TTI exhaust, fabricate header adapters from the Doug's Headers to the TTI exhaust, weld in the subframe connectors, install the front and rear sway bars, install the rest of the audio, couple other electrical odds and ends, mount the hood, grill and bumpers and call it done. So..in the final stretch. Here's a couple pic's of how she's looking.

Car looks awesome as always, great pictures. Best of luck on the land deal, that is very exciting!

The car looks fantastic Will. I hope your optimistic outlook of bolting on a few more things and calling it done pans out. There always seems to be 1 or 2 bugs to work out, lol. Good luck with the land deal - it looks like a great getaway place.

X2 great outdoors photos Will, looks like a real untouched spot of heaven there. Good luck with the purchase and I'm looking forward to the finish line
