You are a man of my own blood!!! Looks like your almost complete. I'll have to reread your post when I get a little closer to motor time. The strips oare open and waiting ;0)

You bet! Thanks '69 GTX.......

Pops is coming over this weekend and were gonna dump in the motor/tranny. Always cool to see the grin on his face when he's around the bird. Being he had a black '69, when he gets within 30ft of this car all the old days stories come rolling out (which I always enjoy). Not a whole lot left to do after the engines dumped. Getting close. Vacation starts in a just over a week. Most of it will be all business on the roadrunner. Plan on disappearing in the woods for a few, but most of the time will be spent with old Skeletor.

Hoods off, torque converter, TTI 3" exhaust and 3 Core Aluminum radiator came in today....ready to rock. Kinda tight quarters with the Coronet back in the stable from her winter hibernation.

Can't wait to see her run Will. I think I'm going to trailer mine over by my bros this weekend and start wrenchin again (brother has larger garage with extra stalls open)

Looking forward to seeing those new goodies go in along with 512 sitting there Will .. feels like a long time since you got the motor back now. Where do you hibernate the Coronet? P.S. I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of the Coronet this summer

Hopefully (for our sake) the ticks and skeeters will chase you out of the woods and back to work on the car!

Very excited step this weekend huh? I can't wait to see that engine between the fenders!

I'm just posting again because I like being on page 100 of this epic build thread.

lol!

Go Will!

:headbang:

Ok I'm going to take a shot on what I think it'll run with the rubber currently on the car. I think with the 3.91s your going to have to find a technic of part throttle launch and hammertime about 60 ft. 11.20's if you get some drag radials 10.80's 20 years ago had a B5 RR with N50's out back with 3.91s basically a 440 +6 motor less the 6 that thing could break the tires loose at 30 mph, and your going to have much much more umph than that. So that will be your challenge. Man that makes me smile just thinking back, can't wait to do it again!!!!! Better allow a budget for new tires every year:headbang:

Thanks man! Have fun wrenchin on the Plymouth. I'll be doing the same.

Been a while Tallhair. Took a few weeks to get my torque converter from PTC (was waiting on that), so I was pretty happy when it showed up. Coronet lives in a storage shed down the road in the winter. By the time I cram in the Ski-doo's and the John Deere with the blower on the front, garage space is all used up in the winter. Nice to have the elbow room and she doesn't get covered in all the dust/dirt/grime from the work i'm usually doing on other things in the winter.

Hopefully (for our sake) the ticks and skeeters will chase you out of the woods and back to work on the car!

Thanks Dave! Yup, super stoked. I'm overdue to disappear in the sticks for a while...New line on the rods and the axe is sharpened, but holy smokes the ticks are bad this year. Probably pulled 30-40 off me this year just buming around the yard and the back 40. You might be right, Squadrons of mosquito's and battalion's of tick's may turn into a biblical all out slug fest to keep my sanity. Man I hate ticks!

Oh man is this going to be great to watch and hear, you are taking video I hope!

Thanks Matt! She's been a long road, but just about there. I will definitely attempt to make a vid. Folks like yourself and all the others following along and have been helping/pushing me on along the way deserve to hear and see how Ol' Skeletor came out in the end. I wouldn't expect no George Lucas production, but I imagine there will be some decent action scenes to include peeled out smoking tires and high speed fly-by's.

LOL! Yes Dave.....You'll forever live on the big "100" of this thread, here at FBBO. Let history record your words of infamy for all of mankind to ponder, generations down the road.

in on this page 100 deal too

Great to have ya here Stu! I'm kinda surprised though. I figured you would have decorated this page with your trademark phrase for this thread....."You done yet!!??" LOL.

So fella's.....Nothing in stone here, but in between dropping the lifeblood back in the bird, hopefully a quick jaunt with the top down in the net, and cutting timber/yard work, i'm hoping to find a bit of time to check out another Plymouth in need of rescue this weekend. Whatcha think?

1970 plymouth gtx(RS23U) car needs to be restored.its been sitting in the garage along time doesnt run.
440,automatic, air grabber hood, bucket seats, console, power steering. engine in the car is not original but a close dated complete 440 is included. car is together and never taken apart. has fender tag/build sheet. underside is in nice shape, outer body isnt bad either. original color is sub lime green. white vinal top and white interior.

If she'll be running those number 69 GTX, i'd be one happy camper man. I agree, gonna be a little tricky to launch and/or keep from getting too squirrely. You are right, tire shop in town is going to love me.

Come on page 101!!! :)

wow 100 pages now ;) & I've read them all, I need a life I think...LOL... Looks like it's getting really close, I'm sitting on pins & needles waiting... I'll bet you will need a Grin-Ectomy to remove the smile off your face, after the 1st ride... Like getting laid the 1st time... Good luck Prop/Will, keep up the progress...
