Almost same...

Almost same as mine but mine is a 1970 and don't know what kind of heads mine has? Need to get back home and take a look, will be posting more on the RR when I return back home from this deployment. I paid 3k for mine and looks pretty rough. Just purchased some 440 4bbl. top end parts for $170. Plan on using the intake and the carburetor. Maybe even the heads. I'll see if possible.

Don't let the terrorist get ahold of this stuff. Wow guess you can get anything in a can now a days.

I had a 68 GTX with that console and I have to say that the carbon fibre look is much better than mine when it was new! :headbang:

can i get it in green to match my shifter :)

Stu,

The stuff is pre cut and fits very well. I had to trim a strip (i'd say 1/64" wide) near the shifter area, but that was it. It cut nice with a new razor blade.

As far as different colors....I can't help you there. I assume they pre-cut the wood grain vinyl and the black carbon fiber only. Again, that's an assumption.
Give'em a jingle or swing them a line. I've had great luck with them so far on several things.

BTW.....A green would look awesome with that shifter!!

Well guys...Been patiantly awaiting the new console shell. Got it today....Yup!

.........and it's cracked. 3" crack on the left side. I tell ya what, I guess i've been doing this long enough where sometimes ordering parts just seems like flipping a coin. Never know what you're gonna get. I definitely stick with the most reliable when I can, but like I said, go outside the box...heads/tails...who knows. Wheels have been on backorder for two months, waited 2 months for window whiskers that should have been here in a week, and now a cracked console. Oh the joys......the joys.

Came from Valley Vintage Auto Parts out of Ohio. Tried calling, left a message, left a message on ebay and sent an email. No response from any means. I'll let you know how well these guys take care of this.

Im sorry to hear it prop, just plain sucks. So close and then the two steps forward, three back starts. Hope things work out good with this and maybe this will be the last one on this build. Good luck!

Thanks Ron. One thing with this hobby is you can pretty much count on is problems. It's just how a guy deals with them that makes or breaks ya. Thanks again and hopefully I can get this replaced without too much flak.

Will, your work is top notch as usual. It sucks about the cracked plastic there.

Expect the unexpected right?

Last night I'm at home and about to swing a leg over the Harley to saddle up for a little ride.....

My daughter’s 90 pound white lab/retriever mix decides he wants to jump on the back and ride with.... WTF?

I’m not kidding, he jumped up on the back of the bike like a house cat might jump up on the arm of a chair… Phucking huge dog with big stupid *** dog claws on all 4’s is standing on the back of my road king classic, standing on the seat, on the tops of the bags… tongue hanging out, stupid dog smile….

WTF??

It wasn’t too many years ago I would have killed that dog right there on the spot with my bare hands.

But I guess I just expect the completely un-expectable from life in general…

The dog still lives, and a can of black kiwi and a boot brush did magic on the bag tops for the bike. But I still have to shake my head and say “Really?”

Could have sworn that I bought something from these guys, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was.
It's never ending when your buying stuff in this hobby. Surprise product and service (good) from one vendor and the opposite from another. I think the worst is the waiting for the stuff that you are assured to be here next week, and then the next.........
Anyways Prop, been reviewing the thread and am mightily impressed with the progress. Am now chuckling at your window debacle but, i'm sure you are still on fire about that. I was sickened when I read it though. Just glad you are not in the slammer. just not worth it......maybe? LOL
I am always amazed at the knowledge and variety things that you can restore and your knowledge of chemicals and paints and cleaners. I never knew so much stuff was made. I'm convinced that there is nothing you won't do yourself, or at least try.
I'm back in the UP, so if you need a hand drinking some beer or working on your car, i'm just a couple hours away.
I get the performance exhaust on the Chally tomorrow, should be fun.

Did they get you squared away on the cracked consil shell prop?

You bet Dave. I just got back in town today and seen the replacement sitting on the porch waiting for me. Unpacked it...no cracks. Pretty happy with the replacement console. Nice match to the original and the holes for the trim, mounting and door hinge are in place.

Thanks Daryn. Willing to give anything a try. You know as well as I, ya gotta be pretty much be willing to dive anything with these cars. Lotta trial and error over the years. Good to hear you made it back safe from FLA. Hope you had a good trip. Yeah the window thing was fun. Just another hurdle I guess. Sure hope the guy hasn't screwed up anyone elses ride since then.

Are We there yet?....wanna know when to book My ticket????

Still pegging away Steve.....Hopefully I can divert from the wife's "Too do" list this weekend and get some work done. I'd like to get the rest of the interior in this weekend.

Looks nice prop. Looks like you need a radiator? I have a 69 parts car and I think it comes with a 26in. Got to check when I get back and still waiting for the transport to pick up from the previous owner. Taking longer than expected but if it doesn't happen then I'll be taking leave to go to Sanford, MI. and pick it up myself. Long drive back to Washington. Let me know if your interested when I return back stateside around the end of June. I'll see what I can do for you.

I appreciate the offer roadbird, but i'm actually covered on the radiator. Was able to pick one up recently at a swap meet. Thanks though. That is one heck of a drive!
Safe travels back buddy.

hey will, you get anything done on the bird?your wife's "honey do" list can't be that big is it?Still looking for that pink "little sister",maybe that will keep her distracted.
