Hey Prop,
Saw a Satellite on Mecum last night that was dressed just like yours. Black with black stripes. That look is killer. Had the 500 rims though.

I just got my engine completed from Jeff in Fond du Lac. Turned out great. 600HP and 620 FT LBS. Best part is that has 546 ft lbs at 3000 rpm..Very usable :) Jeff is a great guy, thanks for putting me on to him. Took a while though. It was worth the wait.
I ended up using a '75 400 block and stroking it to 499 CID. 11.25-1 CR with indy heads. Now I'm on the waiting list for a new Passon 5 speed. Hopefully in a month or two that will sort itself out.
This thing got way out of hand but it is fun (other than the waiting part) I did pick up a fun mopar car for the mean time. I found a 68 Plymouth fury 3 convertible original survivor that was originally owned by the guy operating the last whore house in Iron Mountain Michigan. You can't make this stuff up. He had two big air horns, on each fender, and the big texas longhorn on the front of the car. This car was literally "pimped out" LOL This will be my beach car in Florida. Car runs and drives great and everything works.
I am currently in Fla. but keep me in mind when you get a few weeks out from firing that puppy up. I'd love to be there to help/watch/learn/drink beer. I make frequent journeys back and forth.
If I may take this line to say a big HEY to Ron!! Hope all is well with you SIR!!

Great to hear Jeff worked out for you Daryn...Sounds like one heck of a fire breathing monster. Decent speed shops are getting to be few and far between now days. I can imagine once our bird's meet up, people will be clearing the streets..lol The Fury sounds great! Congrat's on a good find. Sure sounds like one heck of an original piece.

Nice touch on the wall art Mario! If i'm dropping the Leinnie's off, I can't guarantee all if it will make the trip...lol

Some work done on the bird today....A bit of redundant work, but progress never the less.

Rotor's from Right Stuff detailing came off today. The studs are too short for use with the 1 piece US Mag Wheels I put on the car. Maybe 3/8" of an inch of the threads secured by the lug nuts. Kinda of a small detail for the thread, but someone that may have or will be having a 1 piece cast wheel with this set up might want to be aware. Rotors are being dropped off at Automotive Supply tomorrow to have the old studs pressed out and being replaced by one's 1/2" longer in length..

Some more redundant work...The older PST 1.03" torsion bars (red). Since I became aware of the recent issue of these bars dropping the front of the car, my goal was to get these removed. I replaced them with a brand new set of Firm Feel 1.00" bars. Instantly I realized the difference. Just to install the firm feels I had to loosen the pivot shaft nut and rotate the socket about 30 degrees downwards. The adjusting bolt only needed to be run in about 3/4" vs. the PST's which required almost 3/4 of the bolt ran in to begin to be seated.

So be aware......without a doubt, the older PST's will lower your car. The Firm Feel's clocking was pretty much like stock. Hopefully the engine hot tank, magnafluxing and line boring will be wrapped up this week...

Will, regarding the t-bars, the 1.03 PST do not hold up the front of the car very well?? i would think bigger bars would hold it up better and be stiffer...

Mar...I think the 1.03" would be more than efficient to hold up a big pick up trucks front end. The problem doesn't lie with the strength of the bars. The problem is the clocking of the bars. For them to secure in, the socket they slide into on the Lower control arm must be rotated, thus lifting the seating arm for the adjusting bolt. In turn, that drops the front of the car significantly. I guess if I was going pro-touring and looking for a drop up front they might be worth something, I don't know. In my case...not what i'm looking for.

gotcha. thanks for the clarification, Will! that's something im going to have to watch out for...

I'm swaying that direction as well Mario, white letters in. Buddy has a tire changer and balancer so easy enough to flip back and forth.

The wheels are US Mags Wheel U106 Standard. There are not officially my wheels yet, they're a friends. He wants to swap me for a set of US Mags Wheel U104 Standards I picked up around Christmas. Same as these, but chrome instead of black.

The more I look at them on the car, the more the black wheels work with the rest of the paint scheme. I wanna keep ol' Skeletor as mean looking as possible.

Prop I think those black wheels really set the Roadrunner off! They look GREAT! Amazing.

Hey thanks a bunch.....you know, I probably spent 10 times as much time figuring out the wheels than the color of the paint..lol Kinda off the beaten path with the scheme, but now that they're on there, totally glad I went that route. Mario actually turned me on to the design. I just ended up going with the black instead of the charcoal (which still would have looked very mean as well)

Thanks again..BTW, see you have a new bird as well.....sharp!!! I can't tell you how many times I went back and forth with either going with a red RR like yours or the Black. One thing's for certain, that red looks great on the 69's. Have fun with her!

68bee70rr I do agree with Will, You do have a great looking red Road Runner.. you guys keep my hopes high wondering if my opportunity will come.. Some day maybe i can be one showing some work as i turn one into my ride, only problem i think would be, my two favorite colors for a 69 you fellas have! I guess maybe i could name it "copy written" for a name though. :)
