I do miss crabbin from a dock with some fish market trash (guts/heads) on a hook and line and a dip net. One of the "free" things we did with our time as a young couple living in Jax NC when I was serving in the Marines.

Hey prop, them are some sweet lookin ocean hot dogs you got there, you know what they make those things out of right?

fish lips and fish a-holes...

lol!
Are those the campbells, manhattan style or with sauce....tumblr_lf6h25gvJF1qgtdl9o1_400.jpg

On a serious note... I've just spent the last couple hours reading the last 25-30 pages of this thread and all I can say Is WOW... That looks amazing Prop, that's some incredible work right there. The wheels are perfect, love the 512 and that headlight section...wow those light look great. Might have to take that project on sometime. Keep up the GREAT work and can't wait to see the video.

Thanks sublime and the rest of you guys!!!!! The past couple pages have been quite entertaining to say the least.

Little update....

Picked up the headers up today from Professional Plating Inc. and they did an absolutely great job Ceramic coating the Doug's headers for the 512. From initial contact, questions I had, quickness, quality of work and cost..this company is Top notch! Big facility that does a lot of work for big local manufactures like Harley Davidson, Miller, Mercury Marine, John Deere, Ariens, Koehler and a lot others, but still takes the time and pays just as much attention to the little guy like myself. Great seeing companies like that still thriving..

Anyways...I obviously recommend them, headers look great and the true ceramic barrier on them blows the socks off any kind of paint or wrap one would throw on in more ways than one. I will be picking up the 512 this Friday, assembling the top end and meeting with the race shop next Tuesday to talk about the dyno and set up the appointment. Those boys are buried in engines being the kick off of the season, but we're gonna get something squared away with fitting my engine in.

Oh yeah.......Ordered this Rat Fink Hula dancer from M00NEYES for the back tray on the bird as well..thought it was kinda neat. Of course he's black.

I dunno Prop, I think you got hosed. Those headers are just sprayed with black barbecue paint!:icon_fU::icon_eyes:

Seriously though, they look great. And the Rat Fink looks sweet! I'm almost tempted to order one to stick on the dash of my truck.

Nice! the paint on the headers looks like a new powdercoat I'm using at work that we called carbon metallic.

Headers look great! How much does Ceramic coating headers cost if you don't mind telling?

The Rat Fink hula dancer is uber cool for your black beauty! I assume the little RF will be facing to the rear to amuse whoever is breathing the fumes from that 512 coming through the new headers!

Those headers are going to look great Will. That RAT FINK kinda looks like a gal I once dated in my younger days. Still have the scars from where I tried to chew my arm off so I wouldn't wake her. But she rolled the other way and I was able to escape.

cudo's on both purchases, love the headers, looks great

Thanks guys. Lil' fink will be looking out the rear window Tallhair. Cost was $250 total for the Ceramic. Jay, B & B Racing will be doing the Dyno.

will; help me here would ya. lol save me going back a 100 pages to look, do you have a pic of the headers before they coated them. it looks like a first class job and reasonable price for never having to do them again. win-win. actually its not that you are going to drive it hard and heat them way up. lol

we should start a pool going on the h-p number from the dyno. a sub-pool for the torque. thought! the wager would be a c-d of each others favorite shop music.

just thinking out loud.
