Georgia (USA) Road Trip advice

The snaggle toothed dude on Deliverence was my second cousin. He wasn't near as bad as you Yanks make him out to be!
Smiley Deliverance squeal like a pig Toothless Fag.jpg
wasn't it him that said
something like, 'he's sure gotta perty mouth, dunt he'

Not in Georgia yet, but on the way. B and B in Gainesville, Fl. 80 degrees. Radar is useful here. Not Spanish and it’s not Moss.

Originating in Central Florida. Entire State. 2 weeks. Avoid highways. Also, where to base a 2-3 night Savanah trip with safe/free parking. Old couple. White car. Florida tags. Radar. Don’t have to do the Altamonte Pass or Tehachapi to get home for a change. First time there. Thanks.

Downtown Savannah is fine in the day time ..you can park for a reasonable rate at the visitor center ...the on-off trolley ride (Orange trolly) is pricey....but will give you alot of Savannah history....plus you can get on and off of it all day long....unless your staying in one of the B and B's/ hotels down town ...It might be better to stay in Pooler/ Rincon area just north of Savannah....or out by the beach on Tybee Island.

No. Southerners identify me as a Californian with the pony tail. Still sound like a New Yorker - growing up in Allentown. That really pisses them off.

Do not stay at the hotels in Rincon.
Do not stay at the hotels in Port Wentworth.
There are new hotels in Pooler near the airport, as well as new ones on the west side of I-95 (airport is on east side of I-95) in Pooler...located on Towne Center Blvd, not Towne Center Dr.

This thread kinda died on the spot, did Dennis make it?

Dennis, while driving around the south, be sure to find some cajun/creole seafood gumbo to try. Rajin Cajun is one that's a chain, but pretty tasty.

Stayed in Americus last night. Street parking, loud party across the hall, too late for breakfast at 930 but a beautiful Hotel. Gas low seen was 2.79. Great touring and driving. Overnight tonight in Cartersville to celebrate the highest inflation since Jimmy was in. Savoy Museum tomorrow.

By the way, Peachtree City was a wash. Take it off your itinerary. Lots of reasons.

Savoy closed Mondays.

Don't ya love it when a plan turns to crap? I'm still saying head south to Warner Robbins...

Actually now that I see where Americus is either you've already been or you just passed it by...
