Golden Goddess heart surgery

That’s true, but when the mc doesn’t have that (not sure if his new does) and not have the distribution bock (proportioning valve) then you want to have an adjustable one like he has so you can take some pressure off the rear brakes so the fronts lock up first.

I think we are on the same page.
I've read from guys that write about how they have their adjustable PV backed off completely and they still can't get the rears to skid.

Yes @Kern Dog , front disc, rear drum. I’ve never messed with any of this, Zack seems pretty knowledgeable, and he’s down the road so I’ve been taking your advice and experience, and his. I’m open to any suggestions, criticism, whatever y’all want to throw at me!. I like this Wilwood block because it mounts in an easier to get area, and it doesn’t leak like the factory one I had on lol, the proportioning valve is just a bonus in case I need it

I need to get more brake line to make the connections from the distribution block. But I installed the new braided steel lines, Hopefully they work as good as they look!

Beautiful day to work on brakes. Got everything mounted and all the lines made. Hopefully my brake bleeder adapter shows up tomorrow so I can bleed them

The brake saga continues. New master cylinder is working fine, pedal feels better than ever. However the brake pads appear to be glazed more than an officers donut. It’s getting closer:lol:

It’s been a while, but time to get back on it. New brake pads, all new rear brake hardware, including self adjusters, and smaller bore wheel cylinders. Hopefully I can solve the brake mystery and move on to other things!

Well I got the parts put on, but something seems wrong. If I hook it this way, the lever doesn’t attach the adjuster, if I flip it, where does the green spring go?

Shoe to shoe, just like the pic is pointing it out.

And the star wheel needs to be contacting that adjuster piece.

It all makes sense now, thanks!

Yeah, that was the other problem, the adjuster not touching, but if I put the spring in the right place it probably will. Unfortunately it’s getting a little too chilly outside so we’ll have to continue working. Yes, for those of you up north laughing, Texas cold is different then northern cold!

Not the best picture but all I could find on my phone

Weather and the holidays keep me busy for a while, but it’s finally a decent not busy day. For some reason everything decided to just fall together correctly, so there’s one side done
