I’ve noticed she’s been a bit fussy when starting, she use to be real good. Got to looking and it looks like my heat socks didn’t work, so I’m going to try these summit racing wires with ceramic ends

Oh definitely, I made a set several years ago for another car, I used needle noses, a razor blade, linesman pliers, it was heck to do. When I built the first set for this car I made sure to get the right tool, $20 off Amazon and a little lube and it’s a breeze

well fecal matter, looks like I need a 90 degree boot here, and it looks like number 2 needs one too, but I dont think anyone sells just 1 individual wire, and I really don’t want to buy a second set for 2 wires

Just use a straight on it and put that heat shied sock on it. Those are DEI heat boots?

Welcome back Zack, They’re summit brand heat boots, I’ve tried a straight on there with the first set and it doesn’t work, it has to be a 90. Number 2 can be a straight, they don’t look burned so I’ll just throw those back on

They might be rated for ambient and not direct contact. I know with how #8 and #6 header tube are ran it’s a pretty tight squeeze. But the 6 I could and really needed to change done, put 2 and 4 back on, and now it starts and runs a lot better just as I was suspecting. If this trend continues I might be lucky enough to fix the brake issue

Crisis avoided. If I’m lucky they’ll ship at midnight and I’ll get them tomorrow, happens quite often, but it’s Sunday so who knows, not that it matters anyway, just a compliment to summit
