I picked up a 1987 Power Ram 4x4 150 Royal pickup today for $700 bucks. Has a mid 70's 440 wedge shoehorned into it. The engine has an Edelbrock Performer 440 intake and big *** 4 barrel carb. I got it because, A; the price, B: it's complete engine wise, and running, and C; the 440 my wife bought has no engine compartment essentials, like alt, dizzy, coil, wiring, brackets, hoses, linkages etc....it's an automatic. Trying to decode the thing and see if the rear is a Dana or what.

Good buy. Score

Love those trucks, nice score.

Sweeeetttt, my dad had a 87 with a 318 in it he loved that truck, I'm going to try and get him another one when I'm done with the 67

Should be a fender tag in the engine compartment on the passenger side firewall. Most of the codes require a dealer book to decipher. Fairly certain some one on the Cummins forum has one. Been half tempted to get the book just to see what my 93 was optioned with.

That looks like a corporate 9 1/4.

Running 4x4 for $700 = Nice deal!

For $700, you just about stole it....well done Ghost.

Thanks guys. Funny you should mention parting it out. I don't want the truck. Only the motor trans, and maybe the rear end, everything in the engine compartment. All of the rest must gooooo.........I hope to get someone to buy the ret for wait for it...$700 dollars. Has great tires, decent body and trim, real nice interior and dash, transfer case and all of the 4x4 stuff......

I've mainly been doing mopar trucks since I sold the Barracuda. There's a whole world in there aside from the Lil Red Express and Warlocks. Top Hands, Southbounder, Ron Halls, Dudes, Macho Wagons, Street Vans etc... I've got a 77 hi top maxivan, 79 power wagon and an 85 Ramcharger. They are a lot of fun and usable as well. The prices on these are shooting up though. You got quite a deal on that one.

the chevy blazers, ford broncos, and jeep grand cherokees of the 70-s-early 80s are going thru the Roof right now....

i have a standing order for a Good ramcharger Body from a customer
just the roller!! doesnt even have to run!! if i can find one,
thats how hard it is to find one that isnt rotted out on the rockers and into the floors here in new york.

as far as the topic goes, wowsa!
Killer Score.
if it was me,yank the motor trans rad and sell it as a roller.
someone might even throw it back together.

Buy this one, minus the motor for $ 600 bucks. Zip 05769. Come and get it.

erm hey Ghost, before you sell that
the big block auto trans for 4 x 4 is Not easy to come by...
and guys like me who create bb trucks,
would prolly pay something for just that trans.
just a thought..

edit, while on that thought,if you are gonna use that motor in a car,
then
the oil pan/and pickup
the exhaust manifolds
the motor mount brackets
are truck specific and also can be sold as a swap install package...

Nice score Ghost!
Definitely a 9 1/4 corporate Dana.
The oil pan/pickup is quite a piece in demand for BB truck guys also. It should
be a rear sump with dipstick fitting on the side.
Funny, I have a BB truck pan and 3/8 pickup I'm gonna post soon too.
Again good find --- put a plow on it ???
Oops, I see Beaters listed all the BB specific parts, good show!

Thanks guys, I was unaware of those issues. What sort of pricing do you guys feel would be fair for those items? And...do u have any interest or know somebody who might?
