This is two pictures of my back yard and how dark it is and how well the system works.

It's pretty dark here but they do a good job lighting it up.

Those pictures are so dark that...………………………………

I use high res IP cameras connected to a PC that runs Blue Iris software. Nice system at a minimal cost and I can connect 100 cameras if I want to. The night vision is awesome.

I've got a 1/4 mile long drive with lots of tree cover, my retired dad across the road, a neighbor that watches my place, a reputation for liking guns and a dog running loose. I do like the idea and have thought about it especially after seeing the picture quality.

Ring {that doorbell & other search light & cameras deal}
security seems like it's OK, I know a couple people that have it
lots of different options too, not that expensive, from what they've said
you can stream it directly to your phone or computer etc.
you can Bing Search it

I bought my sister a SimplySafe system
direct shipped it to her
I had a gift card & I didn't need it, so I used it for her,
she's in politics now, she needed it
not sure what the cost was now, it was nothing out of pocket for me
simple self install, you can Bing Search it too

I have a good system already, won't go into detail
on a public forum

I also have a bunch of LEO &/or ex-military
avid firearms enthusiasts, that live all around me

we all pack, we all watch out for each other
& we all have dogs too

I pity the fool, that tries anything...

Do these systems have a recorder were police can insert one of those thumb drives?
Pretty much all modern camera systems have a USB port and the ability to export video to a thumb drive. They all can be different though so as a home owner with one of these systems its important to understand not only how to play and view video but to also to export it from the system. Most officers will probably not know how to do it.
