I need really ugly car recommendations

My mother in laws house in SC used to be a really nice ranch in a good neighborhood. Dad kept the lawns in really nice shape before died. Now it has minorities on all sides, junk everywhere, dead cars, crappy landscapes and loud obnoxious people day and night. When she dies in a year or two we will have to give away what was once a $300,000 dollar home.

It all depends. You made the choice to live in a development were there is a HOA ,rules and regulations. Are you cars junkers in a front driveway or just your registered cars or a older classic car? Do you keep your house up or do you neglect it and the property?
If your a considerate neighbor who maintains his property and just has a few cars in his driveway then i dont see a problem.
You could try and work out the problem other than antagonizing people even more.
My house and property are immaculate, i worked on cars in my driveway and the street some times for the last 41 years but never to early and never to late into the evening and nobody ever had a issue. I guess like i said it all depends

It's an upscale neighborhood. Retired people mostly. Two cars always in the garage. I actually think there's a rule that says your garage door can only be open for ingress and egress.

So if your playing around with your car on a nice day, you cant leave the garage door open! Who makes up these rules?

I would have to move. Period. I know i'm militant about HOA's anyway, I HATE them. Nosy sonsza *******.

I heard that! I take care of my property and I don't want a rusty refrigerator in my front yard but if it's my land, nobody is going to tell me I can't

Here in riverside co. it's code enforcement that dictates what one can have in their FENCED YARDS!!!!! & slaps fines down!!

Right. I live in the country, in Vermont. Farms and hay fields all around me. I have a neighbor 400 yards away thats further up the mountain from me. They cut down all of the trees and brush between them and us last spring. Suddenly she is calling animal control because my two donkeys are too loud. Uhh...hello? We live in farm country, rural Vermont for petes sakes. The animal control guy never called or showed up. Stupid woman, what does she expect me to do, tell them to shut up? Like dairy farmers can tell the cows not to moo? She would be one of those people who would LOVE to be the head of an HOA. That fits her all over.

What ever you get just make sure you paint your flags on the doors the trunk and the hood :icon_fU:hoa,s

I remembered this car from :Smokin' Aces."

When does the HOA become too involved impeding your rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness..

It ain't new York Steve. We'd pull engines parked at the curb in Brooklyn, nobody busted balls. Nobody. Out here in New Jersey, you have morons, I've dealt with a few myself, so I imagine that's true elsewhere.

Here is a high-end homeless community where some ugly cars are dwellings.
I see no ugly bicycles or skateboards that could contaminate the neighborhood. I suppose their HOA has a consensus to keep eyesores properly out of view for the good of the whole.

In the beginning, there was light. Then someone didn't like that light and wanted to shine their "proper" light.
Here is a stormtrooper from the past that worries for all of us for our own good.
OOps I better stop here cause I just remembered which section of the forum we are in.
