I need your help

Hey FBBO community,

Well I got this guy that is selling a Vin number and no title 69 Superbee. So he tells me about the car, this car has been sitting in this field for about 20+ years on the roof, he got if off some indian reservation in South Dakota. He also tells me what you see is what you get and nothing else comes with the car. The car is priced at 1200.00 firm and he is not willing to go down on price. This is the second time I have talked to on a previous occasion about 2 years ago. Here are some pics of the car for your advice. Should I buy or pass on the car? Any car is restorable in my eyes...

Pass on it and run the other way as fast as you can. that car is not worth 1200 let alone having no title. If you buy just the VIN and try to put it on another car that is illegal and can get you in hot water for fraud. This guy is going to take your money and laugh all the way to the bank. you can find a better car/project for $1200. We had a classic car dealer up hear that got convicted of the same thing and can NEVER I mean NEVER EVER own a business that sells anything. He can not even get a job working at a car dealer.

you may have to leave the state of ND to find a better "roller" for that price, but you will be ultimately "miles ahead" in the long run thou....

It might be worth 1200 bucks for the front & rear subframes, K member, and maybe floor. I say that only if that's just surface rust and if the bits are good otherwise. Maybe some other bits could be salvaged.

You MIGHT get your maoney back in parts, but I doubt parting it out is anyone's goal here.

PASS.

If you only have 1200 bucks maybe a 69 BEE is not something you should be looking at, regardless of condition.

If you have double that, a MUCH better car can be found.

I here what your saying, probably I would still pass, leave it to someone else that will spend more than the car will be worth, to find all the necessary real parts & in this case your just buying a Vin tag or fender tag, maybe a floor pan, firewall & some frame or suspension pieces, at the best case scenario & very little else, pretty much & it will be just re-bodying that car, so it won't be a real A12 or J coded car after its done anyway... I really hate all the fakes or re-bodies out there nowadays... I believe just removing the Vin to use on another car, is a federal offense too, that's if you were to get caught... I know that's kind of extreme... but I still say, "No Thanks & I'll pass"... but that's just me thou...
