Sorry to see that ! Guess they didn’t have anything to do that day but bother you.
There's only you.....wait, maybe not! There's more than one of me?
Sounds to me you might have a case....but what would it cost to fight it?Nothing, It took them over an hour to charge me after pulling me over. There was a crowd of over 100 people gathered on the sidewalk next to the car and some were yelling at the cops and everyone was filming. IMO they had to get me with something no matter how BS it was to "set an example". It worked because this was all over FB and most blown cars were trailered in to the show instead of being driven after that.
The car was 100% Maryland legal. Mufflers, DOT street tires, seat belts, lights, turn signals, etc.
I even have Maryland Street Rod plates. These plates are only for driving to events, and you have to send pictures of all modifications to the DMV. They have pictures of the scoop and everything on file and told me I'm legal. I'm registered and insured.
Yup, that kind of crap happens way too often.Unfortunately it happens. Somebody was having a bad day.
We just did a local police benefit car show with over 200 cars.It was for a fallen officer.
Some really weren't what you would call street legal but the law looked the other way.
Truth or not......if one person lights the match, the place can burn down in a hurry and then the perp (thread/post?) disappears.Truth hurts sometimes.
Maybe I won't challenge it then?If you have documentation of the DMV/BMV saying you "are legal" with the accompanying pics.....
...you can likely get this one instance thrown out because they employee that made that statement was in error.
...but you will also likely have to agree to either not drive the car or change it to be legal per the correct legal definition.
So even following the laws is not good enough? Some people are just ********! 440'Nothing, It took them over an hour to charge me after pulling me over. This MD resident got the same citation years ago at OC.

I would have made them use a rollback.
Ugh I tried, they wouldn't even let me have a buddy come with our trailer to tow it to the impound lol. Tow company has a $$$ deal with OCPD, $600 to tow it 4 blocks plus hookup and unloading fee.
Lol.. I can see over the scoop.OK, I can kind of see the "blocking your vision" thing BUT how is it OK to be asleep in a self driving car?
I was .5 miles away from the show, already drove 15 miles from Delaware with no problems. They nailed me once I entered the "Special Event Zone"I could see them giving you a warning and possible escort home if close. Or make you park it and come pick it up but this is just someone being an asshole.
