...as bad as things are today, 20 years from now this will be the good ol' days- doesn't bode well for the future (and they can have my guns when they pry my cold dead fingers grom around them!)
boy I miss the days of gasoline being under a dollar per gallon! It has now become my third highest expense every month!
This is why I'm pretty certain I'll be switching to E-85 this winter!
Corn fuel "Alchohol"
ethanol
yes,,, 85%
And how will this help? Don't know about the E85 but the E10 sure screws up a lot of small engines around my place. I've had to do carb work on both my trail bikes, pressure washer, both weed eaters and generator! This is why I'm pretty certain I'll be switching to E-85 this winter!
I looked into doing a conversion and while it isn't too expensive to convert a vehicle over, the cost of setting up an at home fueling station is several thousand. There are very few nat gas filling stations (3 to be exact) in the Houston area, the closest one to me is 20 miles away. Not going to do a 40 mile round trip for a load of gas. By the time I found all that was needed to do all of this, the price tag was around 9k! I don't drive that much anymore and 9k worth of crap E10 will last me for a good while.Natural gas, plentiful and cheap.

And btw, if you do the math on what gas cost in the 60's compared to now, is it really all that more expensive?
