late model hemi into early b bodies

prhousejr, the sealer is from the Eastwood Co. it's called brush on seam sealer. I used it on the floor pans after I scraped the factory stuff off and as you noticed, the trunk pan bump. It will not be as noticeable when I put the body undercoat on top of it. Real gooy stuff, but it WORKS. I know this because last winter I had the car outside for a week with 2 water resitant covers and a huge blue tarp on top of the other covers and it rained like hell for a few days. When I went to move it back into the garage , the trunk had 1.5-2 inches of water in the trunk, talk about water tight, I could not believe it.

B392hemi, sorry to hear about your father in law.

I think it was 35 for a quart.

The last 4 holes are drilled and the scoop fits. Now it need some final adjusting for it to be perfect. Although, it would have been alot easier if it had a flange the whole way aroud on the inside instead of tabs. Are any of you scoop makers paying attention??????

5.7 Ref. the Lower Control Arm by caps vers. plate.

Watching your work, I'll go with your suggestion. I found a couple companies that sell the support piece, which run around 25 bucks. That's a pretty good investment I'd say, and it'll give me more strength for the front sway bar.

Thanks for your comment, 5.7. It's never easy on the family, but I too, won't be gettin' out of this place alive.....!

Yeah, it's a cheaper way to go, and does the job just fine. I think you hit the nail on the head about NOT gettin' out alive.

Scoop is in primer, but still has a way to go, will get to block tomorrow, cross your fingers I dont screw this up.

More primer, blocking, repete, more blocking, primer, repete, blocking, primer, primer blocking repete. How do I get off this damn ride?

I had my little helper working on the car today. I'm not to sure if he was having fun helping, or just being with dad, getting dirty from the front suspension. He never complained one bit, and loosened all the lug nuts then started them again when it was time. He also held the trouble light so I could adjust the upper control arms. Afterward we went and got a ice cream cone from mcdonalds. I tell ya, you got to start em' young if you want them to grow up right.

I forgot to say that the car will see daylight this week, so I can clean the garage, floors and tidy up. So pics will follow soon.

:grin:Here are some pics, let the drooling begin!

Here is my littlr helper, start em young.

What do you all think?

Well, I'll come close to perfection on a working mans budget, if thats possible.

Nice work. Cute kid. Love the wheels.

Anyone else notice how on a 64 Dodge it looks like the front wheels are to far forward?

You're right, she is perfect, and the car aint half bad either.
