Being in the truck side of things, and without seeing the truck personally, I would put the “hasn’t run in awhile and needs fuel, brake, and tuneup work” value at $15k. That is headroom to spend the $2k or more you’re going to need to bring it back to the road. You didn’t mention tires, but I’ll bet it needs those too. One thing that hurts it a little is the fact that it’s a 79, which is not as desireable as a 78. And according to the Hagerty valuation tool, a number 2 value would be $37k? Real world I would say that’s really about $32k if it was really clean and nice. JMO of course, but a pretty knowledgeable O.
