That reminds me of another one. I bought a Volare/Aspen off my cousin, just for the engine I think, and we beat the **** out of what was left with a sledge before it was to go for scrap. Well, it just so happened that my next door neighbors Mom had a very similar colored Volare. So, after my buddies Mom went to sleep, he got her keys and we pushed her car down the street and replaced it with the beat up/ destroyed one ! She went to leave for work the next morning and then ran back into the house screaming and crying that someone stole her car and " The bastards wrecked it and then brought it back !!" My buddies had to tell her the gag right away because she was crying and hysterical ! I guess she grabbed her keys and went running down the street to find her "baby". I stayed away for awhile.

This was my Dad's ‘68 road runner. He totaled in in ‘72. I was only about 5 years old, but I remember being pretty bummed that it was gone.. still am

Mine is not a mopar; but my 1st car was a '67 GTO ragtop. I sold it to a guy in town in pristine condition. Some weeks later I spotted it in a parking lot in town and had to do a double take as it didn't look right. I parked nearby and walked up to it finding both the front and rear end caved in. His girlfriend was sitting in the passenger seat with her muddy shoes on the dashboard. There was all sorts of trash in the car. Stood there for a sec in shock when the guy walked back to the car. I had to say "What the **** did you do to my car pal?" He said "Your car? It's no longer yours." I shook my head pissed saying "You got no pride huh; how could you let this car go to ****?" He was a brainless sort that looked like he hadn't showered in weeks, not embarrassed at all. Maybe 6 months later I saw it again in a dealer's junk lot further crashed windows broke, etc. I swore I'd never sell a car I cherished to anyone within 50 miles so I never see it again.

79 trans am t top car . 11 sec street car I sold it to a younger kid first time it rained after he bought it he slid sideways into a concrete wall made the tail end touch the front end !
I got a call from the junk yard a week later asking me if I wanted my motor back .

I posted a picture of my 67 dart on here a while ago. I traded it in on a new car for my soon to be wife. 4 years later I was pulling out of my subdivision and about 400 hundred feet up the street there it sat in a driveway of another subdivision. I quick turned around and went back to look at it. I was standing at the end of the driveway looking at it when a man came out and asked if he could help me. I told him I thought it was my old car and asked if I could look closer. He said sure, so I walked around it and asked if I could look under the hood. After he opened the hood I reached for the card in the sleeve mounted on the core support and sure enough it had my dads name on it, the original owner. He said he had no idea that was there. Now, he said it was for sale and for 400 dollars I could have it, this was 1983. The 340 I put in it was now 318, the 727 I put in it was a 904, the 8 3/4 rear end I put in it was gone. The interior that was like new looked like it was built by a company called custom by rip and tear. I mean it was shot, destroyed. The console was gone, holes in the carpet and headliner. The body didn't have a straight spot on it and holes rusted through as big as your fist in the quarters and both front fenders. All the chrome was beat to hell including the trunk piece with the GT on it. The 69 340 hood I put on it was now a stock hood with dents in it and was green, mind you the car was red. I just looked at him and said, what the hell happened. He said he blew everything up and his wife and kids did the rest. I told him I didn't have it in me to do it again. I walked away with a tear in my eye.... Dirt bags!!

Mine had a violent end but was reborn
The first car I bought myself ever after I graduated HS was a 99 Dakota R/T, It was way faster than my el camino and I wrecked 3 weeks after I got it. The insurance money bought me a 00 s10 xtreme to replace it, as soon as I drove the s10 I was like "this is bullshit". I went to the junk yard and got my R/T back. Spent nine months repairing it, spent a lot of money on the motor and suspension and put 100,000 miles on it over the the next 8 years that I had it. It rocked and I loved it

Oh...please explain!

Ha-ha ! Was driving slow through the neighborhood, partying, hot girl, bench seat, you can guess the rest ! We hit a Maverick going pretty darn slow and caved the driver's door of it all the way to the passenger side. Got rid of the Dart, but kept the girl. Should of did it the other way around !

A 91 Dodge Spirit. A daily driver work/beater car. But, in meticulous body & mechanical condition, as I've always kept my family vehicles. I got hit in the rear, pushed into a truck when the driver airbag poofed in front of my face. Car totalled, but held up very, very well.

73 Duster. 6cyl/auto, daily driver. Left front to left front head-on. My fault. Young and stupid....not proud.

66 Bel-II. 383/4-speed. Got t-boned by an idiot who blew a stop-sign. It was a driveway-find/Tenn car and rust-free. I had it about 3-weeks, and just had it squared-away. GRRRR

92 Sundance. Sitting in a center lane, ready to merge into traffic. Full-size Chevy conversion van swung into the left-turn lane and hit me head-on at about 50. Airbag set me on fire.

99 Caravan. Wet freeway. Guy in a 2009 Charger made a stupid move [3-lanes] to an exit ramp, spun out to the bottom, then came across all 4. We were doing 70 in the left lane, and gathered him up/T-bone. Couldn't believe he got across the other 3-lanes to me. Everything worked and crumpled as engineered. That was one hell of a hit. It knocked the Charger all the way back to the bottom shoulder.
