Love what you have done with the car, and use ideas from what you did with my build. Why did you go with the MP brakes as opposed to Wilwoods?? Just curious..

Thanks, it's been a lot of fun and I'm glad that it gives ideas to others. MP is a client, and initially I wanted brakes that would fit behind my 15-inch cop car wheels and it was part of a client commit. After I went to the 18-inch Weld Racing wheels, I stepped up the front to bigger rotors and calipers. They're identical to Baer, just rebranded.

Geez I'm still trying to figure out how to mount my Harness Bar like you! I can't keep up! I give! Uncle!

LOL... we did have to get creative. I think I'm going to re-do the bracket and have tabs made that angle up so the bar is a couple inches higher. It's a bit low due to the curve on the inner quarter sheetmetal. But since I slide the seat forward for racing, it changes the angle a little bit. It also helps that our fabricator does some amazing stuff and welds like the best of them.

When you stepped up to the larger front brakes were they MP as well, if so can you share the part numbers you used? I am in North Carolina so it's a 1.5 hour ride to their facility for me...

Yes, it's still a MP kit, the front is part of their Pro Driver Series. I don't have the part number at this time, but if you get in touch with them and let them know which spindles you're running they can get you into the right kit. It's not easy navigating their site... I think it's part number DB4302B, but not 100% certain. I had the A body spindles, so they need to know that. Please let them know you saw the build thread from SLTV! Thanks!

I have the MagnumForce 2" dropped spindles, and you are so right about their website being difficult...

There are usually a few classic Mustangs, and I've seen a 1970s Trans Am, but usually I'm the only mid size car out there. When I arrive, people look at my car thinking, "what's this guy trying to prove?" then after they see how well the car actually handles, they come and talk to me and tell me they were rooting for me! haha

Strangely enough, we put it on the scales and I was at 51.2 front and 48.8 rear... pretty close to perfect. We were shocked.

Thanks!, we put it on the dyno and it was pretty wimpy with only 242 RWHP... but I do have plans for a built LA hopefully next year.

Your car is so cool! Love the fact that you go out and use it. I'm putting on some Addco sway bars and hoping it helps. I never got around to scaling it last fall but will do it this spring when it comes out of storage. Your postings are awesome! Keep it up!

I still have a set of those sway bars that were bolted up once and then removed. Didn't like them at all. The Hellwig bars are far better....more $$ but so much better and thicker.

Did you see the article on it? We had to be a little creative, but it worked. My only thing is that I think it needs to be a little higher up, but it's not bad.

Well its still a bad *** ride even though it doesn't trip a dyno! I really like the look and style it has & looks like a lot of fun to throw into the twisties!

Thanks... it is a lot of fun, and it's a surprise to a lot of people I raced with. They initially wondered why I was there, then they started rooting for me after I caught a couple of modern musclecars like Mustangs and Corvettes in the turns!

I truly needed overdrive with the amount of driving I do and the long trips, but the 518 wasn't going to cut it. Silver Sport Transmissions puts together packages for Mopars, and with our future engine goals of upwards of 600+ horsepower, we wanted a transmission built for that kind of power. We got the stage 3 kit, handles up to 700 hp.
