:grin:well i'm taking my 588 indy motor to the next level, completely disassembled it and going in a completely different direction.
i found alot of problems with the last combo which is being corrected. its not going to be cheap but in the end, i know i'm going to like the results.New cam, valve springs, pistons, rings, jesel belt drive.etc.
I never cheap out on parts but now changing the combo to get over 1000 hp. cant wait to get it on the dyno.
the 588 is still staying in my 65 dodge coronet 440.

i'll be surprised if it doesnt go 8.85 out of the trailer this fall.

Sounds sweet! Good luck

Wish I could get my 500 in my 65 Coronet.

are you going to switch the heads out also or stay with the indy heads you have now ?

So will this motor be going in the Black clutch coronet??

no i'm staying with the 572-13 indy heads but its getting done with a more aggressive valvetrain and new jesel belt drive and new pistons. higher compression and new roller cam.

how's the motor coming ? any new parts for it? it should be a wild ride with the new bullet in it. later wes

we are getting much closer. just got my new jesel belt drive, new grp rods, and 15:1 cp pistons.
new comp elite roller lifyers and new trend pushrods.
im hoping to get 1000+ hp this time.
also went with the new bigger valves. not going for the ti. ones this year.
i should have plenty of power without going berserk on money. $2000.00 for valves is insane.

How did you determine the length of your pushrods before the motor is built???

those will be the last item purchased. good catch though!
just specifying what parts we will be getting.

I am using Trend as well, very nice product. They labeled mine for me as well since mine are .006 different from intake to exhaust.

Sounds like it's going to be badass! I believe i've seen your car at Acto Raceway before and that second picture looks like you've been there lol

Very nice, hoping to get down there in the next month or two myself. Just waiting for the doctors ok to race...
