About time you got some work done on that car, lol! Damn thing looks pretty straight. You do know we require more ****?? How about some pics of the dash?

Yah, the floors and trunk are perfect. The spot that looks like rust in the back is just glue from the carpet pad.

After I got it all apart I was shock. There isn't a single spot that needs to be replaced.

I will get a bunch more pics over the next few days.

I'm starting to think you are a little "funny" with the car **** lol

Shhh, don't tell anyone!!

Clearing the way for a 12-13 inch wide wheel and a 345 drag radial

F'me, thats a honkin' rear tire!!! I thought my 275's were wide, but this takes the cake hands down.

A little better vantage point on this one. Widened all the way up to the frame rail. I measured 15.5 from the frame rail to the inside of the wheel well

That is gonna be so awesome!More pics, and a few times posted from the drag strip!Beautiful 64,wish mine was that far along!Keep up the awesome job!Looking forward to see the end result!

Next week the front end should be completely done. The rear tubs should be in and all the spacing and angles should finalized. Suspension wise the car will be done next week. I have a shortblock sitting in the garage to tear down next weekend and then it is off to the machine shop.

I am going to take the suspension back down, put the car up on the tallest jack stands I can find, and spot blast the wheel wells and the underside. Then I am going to prime it and rattle can it for now. It will be a few years before I pull it all apart and paint it. I am going to sort out the mechanicals, make some passes, get everything just like I want it, and then take it apart one more time for paint.

I scored a hell of a deal on a 6.1 so it looks like I am going to build a 6.1 based motor. I am thinking about taking things down a notch. It is a really nice car to be thrashing. I am thinking about building a 426 and calling it good. If it turns out to need more umph I can always put a maggie on top of it and call it good.

Must be nice to get stuff like that.

It was way lucky on my part. It was a craigslist find
