Not sure if you want to do it or not but I drilled 3- 3/4" holes to weld up in the 4 sides of the connectors where the slip over the rear rails and make the connection way stronger.

Plug welding "great idea", that would definitely make it stronger.

i got mine thru MODERN MUSCLE (HEMI SWAP SHOP) dave and chris have been great to deal with. the tank looks awesome. i bought most of my parts thru them. after the first of the year when my front end comes in we are gonna start tearing into it. will post pics of the progress. my body guy slash fabricator is just plain talented. cant wait to see what he can do with this thing. hes coming up with some cool ideas, but with cool equals money...lol

You have some great parts going into this ride, id love to hear those TTI headers! This is going to be a sweet looking ride when your done, i had a 70 years ago that was a very light blue inside and out, almost any color on them is great, they just have a body style that agrees with any, one of my favorites, this shade of yellow works for me

I just went back to the beginning and read the whole thing and wow this is a great thread usaroadrunner. I like the way you are doing this by getting everything purchased and I imagine it's going to start picking up a lot of steam moving to the finish line. I won't tell the wife anything

thanks guys. like i said before my buddy is gonna do most of this build because of my job is to demanding and cant hardly predict my schedule. its a good job but thats the bad side of it. gonna try to help as much as i can. we are gonna mock it all up and get it running for next summer and if it all works out tear it down next winter for the body. my buddy wants to start his own shop pretty soon and wants my car to be one of his poster cars. im pretty excited about but right now just focused on getting the drivetrain in and running. i will post as much pics as i can on this motor an trans swap. im losing patience as it never seems to go fast enough. probably wont post for lil while. but will keep you guys posted.

wire harness came from modern muscle but it was built by hotwire, everything labeled nicely. i was told you could use the stock one but it wasnt worth the headache. plus they said this one i got fits an is tucked out of the way an cleaner looking. progress is slow but moving forward. thanks 67

pulled in tonight to find a bunch of boxes dropped off, and my smile got bigger an bigger. here is just a couple of pics. i cannot wait to get going on this now....:beavisnbutthead: thats right the ALTERKATION came in...it is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

finally.....got a chance to go down to my buddys shop and we got some things done today. drop the tank, dropped the motor and tranny with the k-member, had to do some repair on the old girl, get engine bay cleaned up a little, and start mocking up the alterktion kit. hopefully get to get down there in a couple of weeks and drop the motor in and mock up the tranny. will keep ya posted. the evil scowl will come back to life...:beavisnbutthead:
