Lots of great points from ALL of you! Thing is, we're getting older, and they are going to market this to a younger demographic than most of us. Corporate don't CARE about what you think, if marketing says the Dart name will work with the Ipod crowd, then that is who they will tailor to. I'm just happy that they are trying AT ALL to compete in the ponycar market against the Mustang and Camaro [Both VERY FINE cars!!!] Since the Chally was limited by heft due to the use of the LX platform, lets hope that the new shared Alfa-Romeo, rear-drive, platform will allow a reduced cowl height.
I work at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. We are building a new paint plant, and a new body-in-white plant on our site. All told, about $750 million. With the expected overruns, nearly a BILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT IN OUR FUTURE!!!!
Fiat-Europe is looking at bankruptcy. Don't be surprised if they "abandon-ship", and come over here for world HQ!
