Older movies you watched lately.....?

Watched the Geisha Boy last night. Forgot how funny and sweet it was.

Just watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder 1971. Contender for my favorite movie of all time.
Are you sure about that?

The movie titled "Charlie and the Chocolate factory" starred Johnny Depp and was released in 2005.

I didn't want to watch The Shawshank Redemption again but holeee crap, these cable stations seem to be compelled to REPLAY the same movies forever.
Yeah, the majority of newer movies do suck ***, I willingly admit. There are far too many Superhero movies, too many sequels of other movies and poor remakes of classics using all female "stars".
Ghostbusters? Great original, horrible reboot with the women.
Oceans 8 ? Same thing.

A lot of good movies mentioned in this thread. The thing is, different people like different types of entertainment. I don't mind the lesser quality production of older movies because I absolutely love seeing all the old cars in the older movies from 60s and 70s, and some even into the 80s.

Anyone remember the opening scenes in Beverly Hills Cop where a bag guy is trying to get away driving a semi truck and then he destroys a Dart Sport by rear ending it? Sucks that car was destroyed, but that scene stands out to me.

Two of my favorites:
Hot Rod from 1979, with the Hemi powered Willys. Just a really good, old, car movie.

Gone in 60 Seconds from, I think it was, 1974. This one had a 40 minute long chase scene with the main character trashing tons of vehicles and no CGI crap at all.
