Our insurance companies don't fight hard enough for the clients either
they charge extortion for covering US, we pay we have no choice not to
but then they settle with some douchebag they know is a scammer/fraud
I guess it's cheaper then sending one of their many lawyers on retainer to fight
double edge sword, people suck & so does insurance
even if you've been with them for decades
I've been lucky, all mine have been documented
& honorable people, they were all in the wrong
But;
I had 1 in HS where I ran into the back of a jacked up 67 Camaro
was like @ 15 mph, it messed that car up, stupid sh-t
on J-street cruise in Sacramento in like 1975-ish, in my 68 Charger R/T...
I f--ked up, my hood & grill, screwed my radiator, overheated my 440
had to rebuild it all, get a new radiator, drivers side frt fender, lights
I needed new heads, drove it off, tried to make it home to Georgetown
an hour + away up the hill, overheated bigtime...
I had to get all new stuff...
I got 'like nothing' from the/my insurance company, to fix my car
the guys Camaro got fixed 100%
we both had State Farm Insurance too
(I replaced it all, bought a donor car std. 318, 68 Charger for $150 ,
that had rear damage from the auto-shop teacher at school & used the whole front clip)
Being teenage boys;
We were watching yelling at girls with a carload of HS buddies/guys,
me & 4 friends, the guy ahead of me stopped short of the traffic,
like 5 cars short of the next car up at the stoplight,
I didn't see it... Doh !!!
I did drive it off...
The Camaro was on a tow hook...
my extortion insurance payment went up too,
from like $200 a year to like $350 a year, I made $1.65 an hr,
that's a hard pill to swallow
I had to pay it or I couldn't drive...
It didn't matter, I was at fault, I told the truth, I was honest
cost me like $500+ back then, I did all the work, myself
I bought my car org. for $350 a year or so earlier
I did most the work on the engine in the schools auto-shop
& it'd be in the $10k+ maybe $15k+
probably $25k in todays $$$ to fix it now, with the people running them now
even with decent insurance... That isn't spineless hacks...
