Post your 10 second combo's

Yeah non metallic particles. More than I need or want to see. #5 plug don't look hot either. Need to check compression and lash yet but I think I already know the answer unfortunately.
Sorry to hear of the bad news Wookie. Ron

And here I am the opposite. Gonna have to start posting in the 11 second thread again. Went from a 10.83 at 126 to a 11.55 at 117. Something is hurt and now I need to find it :(
Thought new converter got killed, but a drop of the Trans pan says otherwise.
Cut the engine filter apart and we have surprises. :(
Now need to do a compression test in all the cylinders and check valve lash and see where I'm at?
Mystery is it seems to run real well yet.
Joys of going fast.
That sucks, sorry to hear it...

Like you said "Joys of going fast "

IMO "you wanta go fast ?",
"than sooner or later you pay the piper"...

good luck,
I hope for your sake it's not too bad...

10.82 @ 126.66 last outing. Down about a 1/10th or so from the norm but air was bad that day and slicks are almost toast.
MPH tells me power is back. Have new slicks to test this weekend.
Bad head gasket was the issue. Caught it quick enough and saved myself a bigger headache.
Now to lighten the girl by 300 pounds or so and get me in the lower mid 10's LOL. Winter project.

Finally back to the Sonoma track ran 10.6 last night. headwind was 5mph I took 2nd place I lost to a 12.78 Camaero who is also my friend. He was State champ a couple years ago. He is always tough to beat. It was good to be back after a month off.

What is your thought on the Indy heads? are they the EZ heads? did you see a difference from stock? I have been thinking of changing my Elbrocks or have them ported.

Indy's are good heads. Mine are S/R's. There's some left on the table because I left them standard port window. Something like your car I would just go to a 325 -1 head. MW port. Especially on a b body. The ez's have the standard exhaust location if you didn't want to buy new headers though.. Hang a Indy single plane on and roll with it. Gives you room to grow if you build a stroker later on. Don't buy directly from Indy though.

who do you recommend?

Modern cylinder head, Dwayne porter, Jim Laroy aka IQ52 (member here). I think Dwayne is hooked up to get really good prices on the Indy stuff. Best bet is to call these people and talk to them about your combo and what you may want to do in the future. I like to plan ahead so sometimes I buy bigger than what I may need at the time. You may decide porting what you have will fit the bill for now.
